I am moving up there to Burbank from Eugene in the next 2 weeks and my horse will be hauled up by the end of the month. I am looking for recommendations on a good vet....
Sierra S. replied:
Dr. Shoenburg!
Riley N. replied:
Dr. Dick Schoenberg is my go to, but I've been pleased with Hank Oliver as well. Neither make farm calls on a regular basis though.
Sue M. replied:
Dr Schoenberg509-946-5515. Wonderful!
Debbie R. replied:
Like the others said. Doc Schoenberg is the best!
Tammy D. replied:
Dr. Dick is the best and most economical. As you have heard, our forage is also selenium deficient, but most supplements do not absorb well enough to meet a deficient horse's requirements. (Be sure you have a good supplement that does absorb). At any rate, supplements will only maintain current selenium levels in a horse, not increase them. Blood tests can be done to check your horse to see if he/she is normal or low. A lot of people with horses who tend to run low have a selenium shot given in the spring along with the annual vaccinations which should be a 5-way plus the west niles (available in a combo together). Dr. Dick can answer all those questions for you professionally tho. The office number is 509-582-6064.
