Does anybody have a recommendation for an obgyn or midwife in Kerrville? Moved here in June and not very familiar with this hospital. PM me if you have any bad reviews...

Krystal Miller, if you are looking to give birth at home to avoid the unnecessary vaccinations and to bring your child into a calm, loving atmosphere, rather than screaming in hospitals, I have a midwife and Doula I can get you in touch with. She is amazing! Let me know if you're interested so I can get you in contact. If you choose to use a hospital, but don't agree with vaccinations, file for an exemption through the State Health Dept and have it with you when you go to the hospital. Go to https://webds.dshs.state.tx.us/immco/, fill out Affidavit Request for Exemption from Immunizations for Reasons of conscience. Make sure you fill one out for each child. You can complete the form online and submit it directly. It takes 3 to 4 weeks to receive. I will tell you that if you choose a non-vaccination way for your child, you will have a difficult time finding a Pediatrician for your child. In my opinion, thats even better because you can then choose either an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Chiropractor or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, onevthat treats in natural medicine, to treat your child. Having been a nurse for 15 years, I've had to see all the unnecessary dangerous & toxic poison, they call vaccines, get pushed into a new born baby not knowing if that child has allergies to the shrink wrap or aborted fetuses that have been found in many vaccines. If you'd like you may call me at 210-617-8249 for additional information. Hope I didn't load too much on you.

personally I would never use any other Dr in Kerrville except Dr. Wilfong, or Dr Hutchison and Dr. Egly who are all in the same office...Peterson Women's Medical Associates830-258-6237

The Kerrville hospital is now certified as Baby Friendly (very tough to get). They have several lactation consultants on staff as well as an IBLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) to help with breastfeeding. I had my son there almost 2 years ago and it was great!! They let me walk and change positions as needed. I was totally in charge of my labor. They also offer a birthing tub and family centered C-section so baby isn't whisked off right away. Peterson is about as close to a 'birth center' experience as you can get but still be at an actual hospital. I had several complications and was a very high risk pregnancy so I couldn't have one of the midwives. I had Dr. Wilfong and I have no complaints or regrets whatsoever. She got us through the pregnancy and got my son here safely and the nurses were amazing.
