Hi guys I’ve been asked for a risk assessment method statement from a company I’m hoping to go into to do workplace massage. I’ve never been asked for one before...

Workplace massage risk assessment will not be complicated. Basically it will be how you check the clients are ok to have massage, contraindications etc and any equipment you use. E.g. visual check or maintenance of the chair or table or portable appliances. And I agree with Berni your safety is important too. If you use electrical equipment you want to know their installation is maintained. I'm happy to chat about it. You should be able to do it yourself. https://www.safetyinaction.co.uk

The Health and Safety Executive website is a good place for information and they have template risk assessments on there. If you use that then you know the format should be up to spec. Also consider things like what a spillage of massage oil could cause - slips, could it be flammable? Method statements are ‘common sense, written down’ in a lot of instances. Showing the reader that you’ve considered how you’ll undertake each step of the task, and ensure that you and those around you are safe while doing so.
