Anyone know of a reputable dog boarding service in Ottawa? Looking to board my pup for a weekend. I've never done it before and I don't want to just stick her anywhere....

I was let on to Dogs at Camp, it’s a bit of a drive out of the city, I think almost Arnprior. I took my dog there for their mandatory orientation to make sure the dogs fit before they’re booked in. Huge outdoor acreage, all fenced in. Sleeping arrangements are kennelless, heated open barn. Basically barn stalls that hold 4-5 dogs each (my numbers may be a bit off but it was good). They also had a LOT of staff and everyone seemed to be very invested in the dogs. I haven’t left my dog there overnight yet but they will be my go-to when I need the resource.

Our family uses Tails and Trails out in Dunrobin and has been very pleased with them. Great people who take good care of the dogs. They also have a Facebook page where they post photos of the dogs playing every day, so you can see your dogs enjoying themselves while you are away. For one- or two- night stays, Petsmart on Innes is fine too.

Dogs at Camp is really really good - but it's on the expensive side and can be quite a drive depending on where you are in Ottawa. They have a huge fenced in field, do 'field trip' walks with the dogs and have a big renovated barn for a sleeping area.

Petsmart's pet hotel is great: they are not let outside(no chance of accidental escape) they are walked indoors. Never had a problem with them and dogs seem pretty happy. There is also an option to have "play time" with other dogs where they put them in a room to socialize
