After my experience with him telling me to chain my pup up, I had no intention of ever calling him again...but there was a situation where I needed a kennel on short notice over a holiday weekend. I tried every other kennel I could think of but they we re all booked...so I called Dave Sly. I explained that my one dog was shy and because they were only going to be there a weekend I would prefer that she not be out with a group of dogs. I told him I was worried that he might not be able to get her to come back in. His response was that he would send his puli out to get her and if she didn't come back in she would spend the night out in the yard. Glad he was upfront about that because if I had actually taken the dogs there and found out after the fact there would have been a huge problem. In the end, the breeder of one of my dogs took them both for the weekend.

I second pet parade plus for in your home sitting. Be a little bit careful about letting unlicensed people just come in as without liability insurance, you have very little recourse if things go bad. Ben Acres and stage coach kennels are both in the area with a great reputation. I'd recommend googling Dave Sly before provideing your business to them

I can't recommend Hilary enough, she's wonderful and my two boys love her. .I always use her when I go away she's great, fully insured, reasonable (doesn't take the p*ss) and is experienced with medical needs. Reasonably priced as well http://www.pamperedpetsitting.co.uk/

I can't recommend Mr Montys fuss and feed enough. They look after your cat in your home. They are so lovely, send you reassuring photos and texts when you're away and leave a diary saying how your cat was each day. Elaine and Graham are wonderful xx
