Realtor recommendations Anyone have recommendations for realtors in the Kingston area?

It really depends what area of the city you want to live. There's no realtor who knows all areas of the city intimately. If you want to live in the Skeleton Park area, you'll find no better than Mark Sinnet.

I think it's probably important to know a little bit more before making a recommendation. Are you buying or selling? Is the property residential, multi-residential, commercial or industrial? Personality is also a big component - a realtor that works well for one person because they're an A-type personality and pushes to get the job done, for example, might be a disaster for another person because they're overbearing and pushy. Or, an easy-going and calm realtor could be seen as lazy and uninterested. It all depends on what you're looking for.

Don Armour, Sutton Group. Our family has been using him for years. He is very good, easy and fun to get along with and will work for YOU. Can’t recommend him enough!

Jessica Hellard helped me buy my condo, and then helped me sell it recently; it sold in under 24 hours. Plus she runs Kingston Animal Rescue.

Also, your listing relator doesn't have much if anything to do with your home selling quickly - they list it, other realtors bring clients in and sell it. The listing relator certainly can make a difference (ie listing it at a fair price, advising you what you can do to improve your chances of selling quickly and for more money, and getting PROFESSIONAL photos done) but unless they are double dipping, they didn't sell your house. The buyers agent sold your home.

Nick Kirkpatrick with RE/Max. I've had realtors push their own agenda on me before to either ensure a sale of a house represented by their agent or to make a quick close to get their commission and move on. Nick was amazing during my move. Did not pressure, but was there to ask the right questions and ensure that I asked the right questions. http://drewandnick.ca/contact/

We used Paulanne Peters to buy our place. She was nice and knowledgeable. That said, sit down with the realtor and take about things before you sign on. Big purchase and you want someone who is motivated by helping YOU get the place you love, not by the money they'll make off you.
