So I am in need of someone to cover up this mistake. Shops only. I will not let someone tattoo me in a nasty environment. Looking for A+ work. Not afraid to pay for it.

Tattoo. Artist recommendation for a viking themed half sleeve? Hi,
Im looking for a recommended artist that fits the style I am looking for. Not sure where to start. ...
Jdr72194 replied:
Just waiting for BloodyStoolSample to post something about a tattoo of a dildo up his mom’s ass.

Go see Cara at The Mountain Mule!! She's doing my husband's sleeve. https://www.reddit.com/r/tattoos/comments/7 q8 zom/first_installment_of_my_sleeve_cara_lethco_at_the/?st=JCTWX79V&sh=7 cf021 a6 Can't speak for her experience with this style, but she's a great artist, owns her own shop, super personable, light handed, quick, and reasonably priced. Atmosphere of the shop is super laid back.
Volk_ replied:
I'm trying to get a viking sleeve too. Already have a few that I want to implement into it. If you find a good one let me know. All of mine were done outside the US so I don't know a good spot here unfortunately.

Is there a good tattoo parlor near or in Knoxville you'd recommend? I've have an idea for a tattoo for about 2.5 years now. It's a simple bluebird outline that I want in...
algrym replied:
I've been really pleased with Born this Way body arts. John Goad tattooed several friends and family, and they look fantastic. Price is good. Friendly, clean place. West Knoxville
bornthiswaybodyarts replied:

Hard Knox on Chapman Hwy. The artists are friendly, their prices are ok and they are super clean.

Integrity tattoo in Maryville is Amazing. I got my UV sleeve done there By a guy named kevin(I think), it was 8 years ago, but he was awesome.
burritoroulette replied:
Passionfish in Maryville is amazing. I don't have any tattoos but that's where most of my friends have gone. Verni is a boss. I've also heard good things about Saint Tattoo in Knox.
tennmyc21 replied:
Dale at Mythical Markings. He's under the radar, not super hard to get into, charges about $100 an hour, and is amazingly talented. Not sure why he manages to stay so far under the radar. He doesn't do much self promotion and is in an odd location, but go to his shop and/or websiet and check out his portfolio, dude is super talented.

When I was in the Army, I trained at Fort Knox(Armor!) When we got weekend passes, everybody wanted to go into town and get a tattoo. My buddy from California(I am a CA too) and I would go with them and help them decide on the worst tattoos ever: "Dude, the Skeleton head with the snake crawling out of its eye and is wearing a Nazi helmet really expresses you!" Good times. Tattoos = regret.
hardknoxpits replied:
Jon Goad@Born This Way Body Arts is the only man to go to in Knoxville. He has won countless awards at countless conventions and he is an excellent artist at a great price. http://bornthiswaybodyarts.com/ You have probably seen their billboard on I40 in West Knoxville.

I'm curious if anyone can share where NOT to go. My biggest fear of getting a tattoo is accidentally going to someone who is awful.

I've gotten a couple at Saint Tattoo on Broadway; they always get the Knoxville's Best of Award.

I've been to Alter Ego on Kingston, right near Olive Garden. Very clean and knowledgeable staff. Lonny (Lonnie?) did my tattoo and he was very good, has been an artist for over 15 years I think he said.
blacknumberone replied:
Love both Vivid Tattoo off Sutherland and Saint Tattoo off Broadway. Had tattoos at both of these places. They're very clean, professional, and have very talented artists.

I've been going go Kris Ford for years. He opened up his own shop in Maryville (Studio 617) a couple years ago after working at other shops. He does excellent work and I highly recommend him.
Koukai replied:
Kitty Konniption at Studio 617, she does great work. Check out her Facebook to see her work.
People have their preferences but it's impossible to define THE best studio. They're artists and have different styles. Take some time to look at the reviews, yes, but more importantly look at individual portfolios. Find someone who's style matches yours. April Thomas care to add anything?
I would like to get a small tattoo for my wife for a special occasion. I would love any recommendations of a local parlor that does good work and doesn't charge an arm...
Magan M. replied:
Shop minimum anywhere is going to be $40-50. I don't have any to recommend in seymour, but Jamie Cooley at Red13 tattoo is good. Chris Allman is also good.
