I have a 5 month old pit/husky mix that is extremely hyper and doesn't like to listen at all. She will do things she knows...

If you are committed to excellent dog training, Sit Means Sit is the best place to go. I would not trust any other trainer for my two pit-mix pups.

I recommend Paws and Behave training facility. Marie is a female dog whisperer for sure. Reasonable prices and she trains with positive reinforcement...treats and praise. Very loving and knowledgeable. Will assist with behavior issues in the home too. You should not hit a dog...can make them mean and break their spirit. Recommend spay also. Crate training is wonderful...will protect dog and home. Speak with Marie Lange at Paws and Behave...she is a Godsend

That's a dog that thinks she's in control and that YOU are being the bad dog. Exercise and STOP hitting. Kennel is a must, you might have to get creative. I once built a steel lead and anchored it into the ceiling bc my bullmastiff mix ate windows, steel doors and crates when left alone. Dog does not decide, dog is not in control. You are boss and you make the decision. Dog does not eat until sat and told okay. Dog doesn't go through door without you. Dog is not allowed off lead until she can respond reliably to voice, sound, hand gesture commands. Yelling and hitting doesn't work. Do you listen to someone who has no control over themself? Or do you listen to the guy that sounds very sure of themself and is speaking in low tones? What you need is patience and dedication bc it would not take long to see epic results from your efforts. I've done dog rescues my whole life and my target was un socialised, scared, abused, neglected animals bc most people don't have the self control, patience or know how to be pack leader. And it's really simple. At one time, I trained seven out of control dogs to potty outside, go to their rooms, wait before going through doors (one at a time as well if I wanted that), and the one I have now goes quiet at "shhh" and won't go to anyone that's not me if I'm not around. So trust me. You don't need to train your dog, you need to train yourself. You can feel free to message me for advice in every situation bc it takes consistency. I need to add here that bc I would be doing this for free, I can't just be available at every moment x And spay. I cannot stress it enough. If you can't afford it, there are programs, just please get it done.
Who knows a good dog training place or someone who does it. For reasonable pricing

I'm a Trainer. I used to teach at Petco as well as train K9 s for Law Enforcement. I only do private lessons. I charge $25 a lesson with each lesson being one hour long. We move at your pace and where Petco teaching one thing each lesson so basic obedience is six weeks long, I will teach you two or three things each class so you may only need three or four. I offer both basic and advance obedience. I hold class at the Swine Barn and/or at the park here in Flora. PM me for more info or to arrange for classes
