You could try any government hospital. Check with their psychiatric department and you should be guided accordingly. If they are from Ipoh then they cld try Hospital Bahagia.

Yes, the mind faculty is good. You could also contact Prof Dr Subash from PPUM under the Child Adolescent Psychiatric Unit there but the waiting list is seriously long. Prof has a private clinic at Mind Faculty and UMSC too - about RM300-RM400 an hour if I'm not mistaken. Brought my kids to him a few years ago. Am glad I did. They have sessions on anger management etc.

Are you looking for a psychiatrist (prescribes medication) or psychologist (does not prescribe medication)? If it's the latter, I could suggest [Dr. Anasuya](http://www.goodtherapy.org/therapists/profile/anasuya-jegathesan-20140329), she does private practice outside of lecturing in HELP University. *disclosing this before anyone suspects me of being a shill. She counseled me personally briefly, and my family when my aunt was coming to terms with a cancer diagnosis and she's very skilful at it, doesn't do the twiddle-thumbs 'and how does that make you feel' x100 thing. She's very nice, but also very no-nonsense. Downside is her sessions might be a bit pricey, I'm not sure if she has much leeway with them but it's worth a try.

Googled and found this place called "The Mind Faculty", it's a private mental healthcare facility located in Solaris Mont Kiara. From the website gallery, looks posh and probably pricey. The practitioners seems to be loaded with credentials and experience, according to what's shown on their website. http://www.themindfaculty.com/

I feel for your friend. Its so hard to find competent mental health here and there is a lot of stigma about getting help. She is brave to share with you and you are a good friend for helping her. I wish I had some advice, but I do wish your friend good luck and good health.

I consulted three different psychologists in KL. Once at the International Medical University, then at a private clinic with Dr Aw Lui Tuiar (I'm probably spelling her name wrong) and then at The Mind Faculty. They were all completely different experiences but sadly none of them could really help me as the issue was pretty in-the-face and it couldn't be ignored with the help of medication and CBT.

Dr John Tan may be nearby.
