I'm asking recommendations for a Veterinarian in or around the Lady Lake area that is great, with a caring doctor & staff as well as affordable please. Thank you in...
The Animal Clinic of Lady Lake. Both of our Beagles go there.
Amanda G. replied:
I agree with Bill Abbey. I've used Dr. Merritt for almost 20 years
Tracy G. replied:
Dr Sexton at buffalo Ridge or Dr Munsel at PAWS.

Depending on your finances, I had Banfield Wellness Plan for my dog. Low monthly payment for the plan, unlimited office visits plus other services included. I’m on a fixed income so it worked great for me. Dr Gallagher was great with my dog, at Petsmart Lady Lake. She was always very helpful and caring. I had to put my pup to sleep on Sunday bc ofcancer at 13 yrs old. When I get my next dog I will resume the plan. Had this plan/clinic for 13 yrs.
I have 4 small senior dogs who are all rescues. I cannot clip their nails and need a loving groomer or vet who is patient in The Villages. Suggestions anyone?
Patricia H. replied:
I would recommend Buffalo Ridge Vet, I use Paradise Grooming, she's booked up for a year ahead - I believe....Also have used the groomer at Village Pet Spa on Rolling Acres and they were good
We are looking for a good veterinarian near The Villages. We have two cats and live in Collier. Besides the Buffalo Ridge Vets in Pinellas Plaza, can anyone recommend...
Carolyn K. replied:
There are tons of choices! Our vet before we moved here from St Pete recommended The Village Vet here in Spanish Springs. We haven't been disappointed yet!
Laura M. replied:
I happen to like Dr. G. At PetSmart.
Gail H. replied:
I agree with Cathy. Tim Porter is great
Denise d. replied:
Dr. Rick Munsell, Village Veterinarian, 352-750-3053
Sally M. replied:
Yes. Country Oaks veterinary practice on 441, North of Lowes, Aldis, WalMart, etc. They are wonderful.
Paulette G. replied:
Have used Country Oaks vet for 9 years. They are wonderful! My cat has thyroid problems & they are very good with him & his meds. I board him there when we go away & they take excellent care of him.
Sharon S. replied:
Do NOT go to Colony Animal Hospital, Colony Plaza Dr Steven Drum is being investigated for incompetence by the states attorney, I go to the Care Center near the Sumpter Humane Society off 301 past Webster About 20 minutes away . Reasonable and very caring
Sharon S. replied:
Absolutely stay away from Colony Animal Hospital Dr. Steven Drum is the worst veterinarian I have ever used. If value the life of your pet STAY AWAY from Colony Animal Hospital
Carolyn K. replied:
Check out The Villages (and vicinity) Word of Mouth website for recommendations...
Ron I. replied:
We use Country Oaks veterinarian north on 441 across from Dell Webb Spruce Creek. We have been with them for 10 years and my wife uses them with her Pet Lovers Rescue group.
Mary M. replied:
We use a mobile vet named Dr Fratello. She's excellent, comes to the house in a 26' van. Surgical suite included and she's less expensive than most.
Scott G. replied:
Live Oak vet...in Summerfield off 475....been around since b4 the villages was made...really do care about there animals and customers...very fare prices and they saved my dogs life twice...
Denise V. replied:
We use colony veterinary hospital at colony plaza. We used Buffalo Ridge near Walmart for over 5 years. As they grew it got harder and harder to see the vet you wanted. Each vet seemed to have a different opinion of how to treat one of our dogs. We finally decided to leave. We are very happy with Dr Drum at colony.
Cathy D. replied:
We use Dr. Tim Porter in Wildwood. He's great, thorough, treats conservatively. Not fancy, but good.
I need a reasonable vet for a 3 year old Chihuahua changing vets don't want to drive to Leesburg any suggestions
Janet C. replied:
Country Oaks Vet in Summerfield on 441 really good
Diane M. replied:
Live Oak Animal Clinic on 475. Excellent and more than half the price of Paws here in The Villages.
Mary-Alice W. replied:
Dr. Drum at Colony vets is absolutely outstanding!!!
Patricia E. replied:
I use Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital for our Bostons, Henry and Gracie. They are friendly, knowledgeable and their schedule is pretty flexible. I've never had a problem with their practice.
Joyce R. replied:
Dr Fox and Dr. Munsel are both great at Village Veterinarian. used them for 11 years now. Also when I first moved here went to Live Oaks on 475. They're great like a good old fashioned country Vet. and very reasonable if you don't mind the drive. Village Vet.was closer though and they're excellent.
Diane P. replied:
Sumter County Animal Hospital on 301 in Wildwood. I've used them for 22 years with complete trust!
We use Banfield in pet smart.. Dr G.. Is the only one I will use.. He has helped with our poodle with much success ..
Toni S. replied:
I like Paws Animal Hospital. Great Drs and Staff. It's at the end of Buena Vista And 466. Didn't care for Buffalo Ridge.
Scott G. replied:
