Not sure if this is ok, but since this is a pet page I thought I'd get better advice here. I currently take my dog to petsburgh (vet) and petsmart (grooming). I was just...
Autumn H. replied:
Pets and Vets as Partners is also a great vet clinic. And tiffany's Pet Salon is in the same building.
Erin D. replied:
Dr. Shutes at Petsburgh is really nice. And yeah, there are TONS OF complaints about the grooming at PetSmart. Bark Avenue Day Spa is good because they don't cage the dogs.
Angel C. replied:
Wild Cat for a vet. Awesome place and awesome staff!!
Autumn H. replied:
Tiffany's Pet Salon!
Erin D. replied:
I wouldn't ever goto PetSmart. Bark Avenue Day Spa is really good and so is Simon and Hallies. As far as Vets, I am extremely picky because once you lose my trust, that's it. So I can't say anything good at all for Creekside or Pet Medical Center. But Petsburgh, All Pets and Wildcat have been really good...so far.
Does anyone know of a reasonably priced place to board pets? Our vet doesn't board and we need them to stay somewhere July 4-13 when we go on our cruise.
Ashley H. replied:
I don't know about price but I've heard wonderful things about The Dog House behind fazzolis on 26
Rachael R. replied:
The Dog House of Lafayette!! $20 or $25 per night, depending on the size you want.
Hey, vet-friends( Lindsey Hedges-Gieseking, Amanda Lynn Perkins, anyone else?), do you know of any veterinarians in the Charleston, SC area that you would recommend?
Lindsey H. replied:
Dr. Erin Siltamaki is a classmate of mine who is fabulous and works in Charlotte at Southpark Animal Hospital (http://southparkvet.net)
Does anyone have a vet they love near the Greenbush/Market Square area? Is Petsburgh a good place? My daughter is moving to Lafayette & will need a new vet.
Mollie K. replied:
Dr. Dave from Wildcat did my two dogs annual shots, and 6 mos. of heartworm for both for $180. He is great!
Janet M. replied:
We go to All Pets at Elwood and 18 th....right behind the old Payless by Market Square. We love it
Dave M. replied:
Dr. Todd Clark Creekside Animal Hospital SR 25
Kim L. replied:
All Pets Medical Center@Elmwood and 18 th Street. He is the best!!!
Cynthia C. replied:
Creekside on 25. They are so Compassionate, Knowledgeable & Professional. Saved my baby girl (she's 14!). Dr. Jackson is our vet, but we've had the other vets too there take care of our fur children... All very good!
Lisa S. replied:
Wildcat vet is awesome Dr. Dave the best & they care more about your animal than just the money they can make!
Kathy L. replied:
CREEKSIDE! Dr Jackson at Creekside is our preferred vet but we love all the others, too! She's been the driving force in keeping our boy Nelsson walking. Can't recommend enough. Plus they've been chosen J&C readers choice winner for several years straight!!!
Debbie J. replied:
I Like all Pets DR Kubus is very nice & good with animals have taken both my cats there they don't mind going either
Karen S. replied:
Creekside..April Schilling is great but honestly all the vets there are
Heather H. replied:
We take all of our dogs to Wildcat. They have drop in clinics twice a week in town as well. I would not recommend Petsburgh. Dr. Heather and Dr. Dave are amazing! http://wildcatvet.com/
Elaine S. replied:
I like the Tipp Animal Hospital on 38. Very nice people and the groomer next door in same bldg is great and loves her animals.
Sharron P. replied:
Creekside or Tippecanoe Animal on 38
Ramona C. replied:
There are many fine vet clinics in Lafayette. My daughter is a vet tech and knows people at many of them. Creekside, Tippecanoe Animal Hosp, Paw Prints, VCA, and Pets & Vets are all good. I would recommend All Pets for exotic or pocket pets, and Purdue for emergency or specialty care. I personally would NEVER take a pet to Arihood, but he is cheap.
Candace A. replied:
Dr John at all pets on the corner of 18 th and Elmwood. He is good and personal. He knows my animals. He is reasonable on prices too.
Debbi G. replied:
Wildcat Dr.Heather
Sharon A. replied:
Dr. John at All Pets. He is great.
Jerry H. replied:
Wildcat - Dr. Heather. Nearest good vet after her is in Delphi; after that somewhere in Missouri!
Neil R. replied:
I recommend Purdue Small Animal Hospital, Horizon Veterinary Service in Delphi, and Wildcat.
Holly R. replied:
We go to All Pets.
Mollie K. replied:
All Pets, or Dr. Dave at Wildcat Creek. He also does clinics at Petsmart and Natalie's No Kill. I had a friend take their dog to Petsburg, came back to get it, and it "got stuck in the cage" and they had AMPUTATED HIS LEG! Avoid that place.
ISO. We just moved back to Lafayette and are looking for a really good vet at reasonable prices? Any opinions, please!
Dave M. replied:
What is affordable and reasonable for one person may be quite a stretch for another. Pet Owner A might think nothing of spending $2,500 for an initial work-up at the Purdue Small Animal Hospital while Pet Owner B may have to plan one month in advance to save for vaccines and a flea/tick preventative. With a school of veterinary medicine feeding into the surrounding area, you won't have a hard time finding competent care that should fit into any budget.
Sue S. replied:
Frankfort Animal Hospital
Anne H. replied:
Dave Murakowski, wildcat Valley Animal Clinic
Brandy K. replied:
http://wildcatvet.comDr Heather and Dr Dave are both realy good and great prices
JeanAnne R. replied:
A good is Paw Prints Animal hospital! They are a little pricey. Wild cat is cheap but i dont like them and they have a bad reputation. My friend had a dog who got loose and someone found her and took her there and they adopted her out in a day without even looking for the real owner... I also have sources of that happening to people. Wildcat staff can also be rude. But they are cheap... You get what you pay for. Dont go to VCA on 26. Bc they tried to give my neighbors dog cat dewormer and said it was like the same thing.,, and also charged for every little thing and they arent knowledgable.
Brandy K. replied:
Crystal Creek is a shelter. Wildcat is a vet. BIG difference
Where to take a kitten to the vet
FREE - Monticello, Indiana
Where's the best place to take a kitten to the vet, price wise?
Pam S. replied:
Dr Sam at Monon is fabulous
Shelly H. replied:
Dr Sam in Monon!
Jessica F. replied:
I like Hageman at Monticello Animal Hospital. They've raised their prices a little since moving by Pizza Hut but they're always honest about what needs done. They haven't pushed for us to get anything elective that wasn't needed.
Does anyone know a good vet that would possibly have openings tomorrow?
Lisa D. replied:
Dave at wild valley out here on 200N off of county line rd. Number 765 589 7297....call them. He is also very good with payments.
Jennifer M. replied:
VCA Lafayette Animal Hospital on 26
Ashley D. replied:
VCA's expensive, I worked there for 6 yrs, but all the vets are awesome...if you go on their website they should have a free first exam coupon if you have never been there before...if you do go there try and get in with Dr. Hedges.
Looking for a good vet in the Lafayette area!!!any preferences??
Erin D. replied:
I recommend Dr. Shutes at petsburgh. I am extremely picky on where mine go. But now I'm trying to treat everything naturally because I just don't trust anyone. Is there a specific reason why you need to take him/her?
Tammy C. replied:
Wildcat Valley. Either Dr. there is great or you can visit them at either Pet Supply Plus or Natalie's. Their prices are great and their quality is greater.
