Here's a big starting list. Start perusing the vendors and see what's in your price range. http://forum.ih8 mud.com/threads/offroad-trailer-manufacturers.117355/

Jack I'm going to be really blunt and honest. We do not have what you want here in the U.S. Our offerings are not anything close to what you get in Australia. Jayco has the Baja series tent campers. That would be about as close as you'd get. There are some others similar to theirs too. The good thing for you would be you could buy a used unit, even though expensive, and use it for your trip and probably sell it for the same. You might also check Expedition Portal as once in awhile they will have something pop up. I would not buy a Kimberly Kamper or any of the imported units in the U.S. They are way too expensive and your market for resale when you go home is too narrow.

This company rents out off-road trailers and rooftop tents. Day rate is pricey, but perhaps they would consider a weekly/monthly rate... http://www.rentoffthegrid.com
