I have a puppy that I want to do some agility training with. I think I'm going to get him CKC registered...
Christine M. replied:
Why register him as CKC? Unless you're going to breed him those letters mean nothing. You can contact Imperial Polk obedience Club. They can help.
Courtney H. replied:
I know that a few places here in Lakeland do agility. I believe it's called Daus Hund Haus. I've heard a lot of amazing things from them. They do have a website. Agility is amazing, I do it at home with my dogs. If you go to google and type "Dog Agility Lakeland" there's a lot of options.
Trudi K. replied:
You can get the dog registered AKC if it is spayed and neutered. Check back.org.

I train at cool Critters. Start with basic obedience and then agility as they must know several commands to control off leash. Nadac is one agility association and akc also has mixed breeds allowed in agility. My rescue earned his canine good citizen through akc as his first title. There is a nadac trial in two weeks held athttp://www.coolcritters.com/ I almost have a complete agility set up on my farm now!

I love https://www.facebook.com/dashundhaus/ they are a great group of trainers. Their facility is off of Reynolds near Maine. My rescue is in the "manners" class and when the teacher thinks he ready we are going for the agility, also.
Marissa G. replied:
Talk to Das Hund Haus. They do training so I'm sure they know of low key shows in the area.

Lol I said if he doesn't need to be CKC registered then that's fine with me
Need recommendations for a dog trainer in Polk County. My lab mix is becoming aggressive and I'm afraid she will eventually hurt my smaller dogs. Thank you.
Does anyone know of a facility that does dog training? Where we could drop our dog off and not attend until maybe the end. Going through medical treatment so attending...

Is there anyone in this group that does house dog training. I am looking at my options. Thank you.

I don't know anyone personally. I would ask at Das Hund Haus. I bet one of them either does or knows someone reputable.

Call Dr. Donna or Doc Rock at My Pet's Animal Hospital. They will know the best.(863) 646-3669

Christine Strickland at Sea Horse Canines, Debbie at Dog Sense, and Gabriela Urevitch at Complete K9 Academy - it depends on the type of training, private or group, at home or at facility and your budget. Those are who I work with, not to say that there aren't others:)
Asking for advice.. I hope that is ok, sorry for the long post. . We have a black lab, very good dog, great with kids, friendly loving treated well sleeps on our bed...
Diana T. replied:
Dog Sense is wonderful for training and is reasonably priced! I would also suggest the doggie to be supervised when in the yard. And for training to come, have the dog in a long line. Then give the command to come. And when the dog doesn't come, then you have the long line or retractable leash to "encourage" the dog to come and learn to come.
