Royice you are right. But before that Aunt Carry had a cafe on the same block as the Texaco. At that time it was the Texaco, Guillum storage, a pool hall, hotel/ cafe, then a bar ran by George Frost. Then the alley and the post office, gas company and the Farmer National Bank. I think that is right. Anyway that the way I remember it.

Erick was pretty lively back in the day the Farmers bank was held up at gun point and the postmaster (the post office was next door) was almost shot when he charged in gun in hand thinking it was false alarm also no one has mentioned Oscar B and his coon dogs he ran the other station on the same corner as Texaco his was a Mobil he loved his coon dogs and always took the FFA boys on their annual coon hunt (initiation for freshmen) it would never be allowed now days
