I usually recommend Jenny Miller in Akron. (if anyone wants her phone number, you can private message me.) I don't personally know any of the others mentioned, but Merci might be worth a try. (I have not seen her work.)cA former student of mine is enjoying working for her.

Fulton Tailors. A little old Greek man that works out of Liberty Place, the old Armstrong HQ on Liberty street. He's appointment only now, though, so you'll have to find his number and call ahead.

I love Timblin Tayloring. She used to be in the shoppes across from Wawa in East Pete, but they are redoing the buildings, so I am not sure where she is now. She is inexpensive and wonderful!

My boyfriend used "Fine Tailoring by Harry" to alter his best suit. He was incredibly happy with the end product!

Like you, I swim in the torso, so many of my clothes need to be altered. I've used both Kim's and Harry the Tailor (Fine Tailoring by Harry), which is a couple blocks from Kim's on Chestnut. Both are fine, with Harry, in my experience, more full-service and complete. Kim's was okay for taking in the waist on pants, and they are fast (last two trips, I got next day). Harry, I hit when I need shirts or suits taken in.
