Hi everyone. This post is really great. It shows how the industry is booming right now for photographers and consumers. However, it also shows how tough the competition is. There are a lot of talented people out there taking pictures and making a wonderful side source of income.. some even do it full time. I also hear from a lot of photographers that its a lonely, dark road out there and people have to continually reduce their prices just to compete. When I started I was hesitant; I knew about all these scary trends and wasn't sure I wanted to invest in pro equipment just to make scraps. Then I realized something. I formed www.travelingstudios.com in Aug 2013. It was a place where photographers could come and be a part of a team. A real business with commercial insurance, legal support and a solid foundation of customers and resources. We share everything and have the most incredible team meetings and team shoots. We have grown rapidly and every time I put out feelers, I get dozens of people who want to join. This is one of those feelers.
