I'm trying to find a alto sax for my middle school student for marching band. Know where to inquire on used instruments?
Alli B. replied:
Go through Quinlan & Fabish Music Company. That's what the schools go through and where we get all of the new, and used instruments. Or you can talk to band directors about school owned instruments.
Tina C. replied:
Use Quinlan and Fabish. The band teacher Mr Govert really favors them. My son had an instument we bought from ebay, it was nothing but trouble because things went wrong with it and no support. Quinalin and Fabish are very supportive and reasonable.
Tina C. replied:
Yes they sell used Mari Ritz. Tbey do rent to own
Suzanne G. replied:
Check with Plum Grove before Q and L There's also Puzon's music. I like going there ever Q&L any day, it's a small business and the guy really knows his stuff. If all else fails I'd check eBay and then you can just take it in and have them change pads

Char Snell if we have the instruments available in our inventory, we definitely allow our students to check them out and use them. However, I do not currently have any alto saxes. Quinlan and Fabish have the largest selection in the area, Plum Grove in Lowell is a new company that looks to be expanding its inventory each day, Puzons and Rubinos are also companies. Also SHOUT OUT to our Lowell Band alumni... anyone have a quality alto sax they can donate/lend/sell to our program?
