I highly recommend Trees ‘N’ Scapes (www.treesnscapes.com) for the landscape work and they are happy to work with another contractor for the deck. They have designed all of our landscaping, installed a boulder retaining wall and will be doing another big project for us this summer that involves a deck, retaining walls, and stone steps down a hill.
Can anyone recommend a landscaping supply company? I need rocks and/or wood chips for my front yard. Home improvement stores charge a mint! Thanks much!

If you live closer to Charlotte, TreesNScapes is my FAVORITE place for trees, shrubs, etc. http://www.treesnscapes.com/ They put in an awesome boulder retaining wall for us and we have bought many large trees from them. The GL Schafer's location is still closed for winter according to their website, but I've been happy with their supplies. http://www.schaferslandscapesupply.com/
Where to take a bunch of trash? I have a bunch of trash that I need to take somewhere for disposal. A lot of it is just landscaping trash. It's way more than I can put...

You can throw away nearly anything in a [Bagster](https://www.thebagster.com) up to 3 cubic yards or 1.5 tons. Buy the bag at Lowe's or Home Depot for about $30, then schedule a pickup online or by phone -- pickup fees are variable depending on area, but should be around $125-140 in Indy. It's incredibly convenient: put the bag down in your yard or driveway, fill it up, they come get it. You don't have to drive anywhere, or unload anything. Another option is to search for "Hauling" on Craigslist or Nextdoor and pay someone to take it away for you.

Affordable rent-a-dumpster recommendations? Hoping some knowledgeable folks here can help. We want to get rid of a bunch of landscaping rocks in our yard. Does anyone...

When I first read the title, my thought was, "Wow, housing has gotten so expensive that people are renting dumpsters now?!"

How much stuff ya got? If it's a small amount, and you're serviced by Waste Management, you can try the bagster. https://www.thebagster.com Sometimes the collection service allows for a free yearly bulk trash pickup. I'm not sure if they'd allow for rocks, but it's definitely worth it to ask. Otherwise you'd be looking for a roll off service, which I would imagine is north of the $300 range. But I have no experience with that.

Might be worth calling one of the "got junk" type places. they charge by volume not weight. I filled the back of an 800-got-junk truck to about 75% a few years about and it was right around $500 if I remember. The other thing is to post them for free on craigslist "you shovel, you haul" and I'm sure some landscaper or homeowner will help relieve you of them.

Many trash companies will give you a free dumpster 1-2 times a year but probably won't accept dirt or rocks due to weight issues. You could try just a little bit every week in your trash
