Hi Aunt Diane, I use Dr. Kathleen Perkins in Metamora. She is in the McLaren building behind the McDonald's on M-24. i know that she wasnt accepting new patients a while ago, but she might be now. Dr Ahmed has been amazing, he listens and thinks and doesn't just talk over you and make snap judgments to get you out of his office

Dr. Zelenak in imlay city. I too was bouncing around from doctor to doctor then I found her and stayed with her for many years

Dr. Al Smith at Lapeer Medical Associates. He is no nonsense with little patience for drug seeking addicts. He will drop you if he thinks you are trying to scam drugs from him. That said, he has sat with me and answered every question I could come up with. He might be a good fit for you.

Thank you all!! I remember when I was a kid, I had Dr. White in Davison and he treated you like family. He's now retired and I haven't come close to that treatment, but I know there has to be someone out there like that. I appreciate all the feedback

I just saw Dr. Naber on Lake Nepessing in Dr. Lang's office. She's a Lapeer West grad. She was very attentive and thorough. She's young, so she'll be staying put ( I'm guessing). And the office staff of Tricia and Sheila are amazing!

Yesterday we saw Dr. Naber for the first time. She is young which is important to me, most older doctors are stuck in their old ways and don't keep up to date on new medical information. She spent lots of time with me and my daughter discussing her issue. My whole family will be seeing her from now on. Also I got her in the following day after I called. That's unheard of for a new patient! I'm sure as she gets more and more patients that will change but so far, so good. The office staff and nurse were all great too. Very friendly which is uncommon (for me).

Dr Zelenak over at Imlay City family practice is awesome. They have been our family Dr for years.

My husband has a whole team of doctors and they are all very good. His family doctor is Dr. Fram by M-24 and Davis Lake Road. You wait to see him but that is because he cares about every patient. He does not just take your blood pressure, write a prescription and race out the door to the next $100. He talks to you and more importantly listens to you. In my opinion the best by far for a family doctor. My adult son and daughter sees him too.

We stopped going to Lapeer doctors a long time ago. We drive to Lake Orion for Orion Family Physicians. My husband was treated in Lapeer for ulsers and was constantly given pain medication, we switched to the Beaumont doctors at Orion and it turns out it was a hernia and he needed surgery right away.

Dr. Albert Smith. Excellent doctor. Keeps up with current studies and best practices. Takes his time to answer all questions. Very experienced and knowledgable. He's been my doctor for 20+ years. Trust him implicitly.

Dr. Mike. Zielinski. Urgent care/ family care. Man goes to the jungles of South America as a missionary to innoculate natives...extremely dangerous. Best. Doctor in town. Been my family doctor for years. X Ray/ blood draws right in same building. Great for backs and a great human being.

I went to Dr. Branicki forever myself and loved him. He told me I couldn't see him anymore once I turned 16.

I was looking for a male doc for Joe last year. I got referrals for Zielinski in Lapeer and Smith. At the time, one wasn't taking new patients and the other didn't take our insurance, so I ended up at Dr. Nancy Crossley in Oxford. Joe wasn't thrilled about a female, but he saw her and really liked her. I know you wanted male, but just wanted to throw that out there...

Dr Murphy in the office behind Taco Bell is really good. Not sure what insurances she takes but she's a really friendly doctor.

I go to Dr. Farley in Davison. She is nice. I don't have medical insurance.

We love Dr Jill Savage in Oxford. Beaumont doc. She has great bedside manner and I never feel rushed.

I just got my insurance and am going in to see Darla Murphy on Tuesday afternoon. It only took me two weeks to get in. I haven't met her yet so I can't say if I like her or not, but my boyfriend goes to her and he loves her. She's at the complex on Baldwin Rd. Kinda behind Meijer.
