Used car dealership recommendations? Ive almost always bought my cars cash and went cheap because I lived in NYC and the salt in winter and potholes all year destroy...

Based on what you said, carmax would be your best bet.

I bought from CarMax on Sahara. I like the no haggling and flat commission ideas. My salesman was awesome and I have nothing negative to say about the whole experience. His name was Doug IIRC. Will definitely do again. I know that they don't change the price if you pay cash so I don't think they care where you finance from.

Carmax offers an epic warranty that I can't recommend enough. So far carmax has paid out a little over $16 k on my 2009 e60 m5 that I've had less than 6 months. Also, if you have an idea of what your looking for I'd suggest using autotrader/cars.com because it's more about the vehicle and it's quality than the actual dealership.

I bought my first car in Vegas from Carmax. Since then I've purchased from Findlay. I didn't have a bad experience with Carmax, I just wanted to check out other options. One thing I didn't like about Carmax is that the price is set. No haggling. I bought a Lincoln in April and got such a good deal. I even met Nathan Findlay (His family owns a lot of the dealerships) and he told me if there was anything I needed, to call him. He gave me his personal number. He's gotten me some very good deals! Let me know if you have any more questions about it. I can put you in touch with my dealer too. In case you want to compare prices.

Indeed Carmax, also there's a new-ish Dodge dealer in the SW, [Desert 215](http://www.desert215 superstore.com/inventory/used-vehicles/), I bought a used truck there last year. They were cool and all the prices are as marked, no haggling.

We bought our car from Enterprise on Warm Springs next to CarMax. Bought our Jetta at a bit below KBB and got a really good deal on it. We brought our own financing and that wasn't a big deal. Just make sure you bring all the financing paperwork with and you should be able to drive off the lot that day. No haggling was involved. We were there about 2 hours.

For used cars, Carmax all the way. I bought 2 cars from them, and the only reason I didn't buy my current car from them, was because the model was new, so they didn't have any used one available yet.

Yea carmax charges more but their cars usually don't have any big issues. They really put the cars through a lot testing them and they won't put junk on their lots. They can get you any car too at any of their other locations. They will ship it to Vegas for free I believe.

Be sure to tell the dealership up front that you do not want them to run your credit, if you've already secured your own financing. They'll want to use their own (and will probably toss a couple percent on top of whatever rate they can actually get you). I ended up with like 15 inquiries while shopping around, despite having a blank check from my bank.
Most of the big dealerships in town are no-haggle now. They won't even let you begin to start haggling. Your best bet it to try getting some extras thrown in. The car I ended up buying had a bad scratch on the hood, so I got them to repaint the whole hood for me since the price was set in stone.
Randall at BMW of Las Vegas (I didn't buy a BMW) was great. It was a relief to find him after dealing with so many horrible sales people around the city. I actually called him from the desk at Honda West down the street, while that sales guy was wasting my time. Unfortunately, the finance guy I got stuck with at BMW of Las Vegas was a snake though, handed me a contract with financing from BMW Financial even though I had already secured financing from my bank. The manager took care of it, but it was shady enough to probably turn me off from them in the future.
Carmax is good, a bit higher priced but not outrageously so. They'll ship cars from many other locations for free. If you're getting a car with expensive repairs, their warranty can be a good value.
CarGurus.com is a good source for finding cars. Shows a specific car's price compared to others in the area, how long its been on the lot, etc.

Another positive Carmax experience here. Just got my car a month or so ago from the Henderson location. I had a car transferred from across the country and it was a very simple process.

Car buying can be stressful, but I honestly didn't mind doing it in Vegas. It's way skewed in the favor of the consumer, in my opinion. The dealers will be tripping over themselves to make a deal with you (since the car you like is also across the street at a competitor, or at worst, across town). I always had good luck and could get it done in a half day if I do my research first. I bought three different cars during my time there, and the last time was with an Infiniti dealer. Great experience. Traded in a Honda Accord and got a killer deal.
Anyone know a reliable source for buying used cars? My time has come and I am looking to network and shop with a trusted source. Who do you recommend? Who has had a...

I and many people I know are very happy with Carmax. Go ask for Larry Owens at the one on W. Sahara.

Henderson Hyundai was very good to me. Ask for Mr. Harvey. Older gentleman, definitely a straight shooter.
