I think my friend used a regular chiro. Or Google vet chiro or vet alternative? Best of luck for your Sweet Charlotte!

Idk a specialist (honestly my experience of vets is that, like MDs, they mostly know what the pharma reps tell them -- I've found way more reliable info on forums). Idk how old Charlotte is, but our Eli (3 yo chihuahua) had developed joint pain by the time he was a year old (he'd walk stiffly and be very grumpy) -- I tried him on a human MSM/Glucosamine/Chondroitin supplement (wrapped in a piece of Greenies Pill Pocket) and it made a dramatic difference within 2-3 days. If you haven't ruled out arthritis/joint pain, it's probably worth a try (can't hurt, at least). There's a really helpful review of the product we're currently using (Glyco-flex) that offers additional ideas for more severe mobility/pain issues: http://www.amazon.com/review/R5MNHIR76K8OA/ref=cm_cr_dp_cmt?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B002LVTTYE&nodeID=2619533011&store=pet-supplies#wasThisHelpful. Very best to you and Charlotte!

Hey Becca - there is a veterinarian in Niantic who does acupuncture. Her name is Stephanie Torlone and her practice is called Veterinary Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. I had thought about taking Carly's dog Rider for acupuncture, and I saw her name in a search. Her website is www.acupuncturedog.com. Says she has a special interest in geriatric dogs.
