My fiance got my engagement ring from Ketterman's in Leesburg. It's a family business that's been around for something like 50 years. They were recommended to him from one of his friends who got his wife's engagement ring, their wedding bands, and engraved gifts for the wedding party there as well. I don't really know what their prices are like, but I can tell you their customer service is fantastic.

Have you tried [Dominion Jewelers](http://www.dominionjewelers.com/)? They're the largest custom jewelry store in the DC area. They're ~10 minutes a way from Tysons Corner (just North up on 7).

Emmenance Jewelers in Fairfax has been really good to me. I got my wife's engagement and wedding rings made there and my Wife got my ring custom made there as well. Wasn't the cheapest, but we were having them made and what they provided was far better than the other two places I looked at in this area.

This is in the district so it's a bit of a hike, but I had a really positive experience with [Bensens](http://bensonsdc.com/index.php). They did a custom wedding band to coordinate with my engagement ring priced at ~$1K. They guy on the sales floor was patient, upfront about what kind of cost we were looking at, and didn't pressure us into anything.
Does anyone have a USB Digital interface they might recommend for home recording? Something for a PC, but one that could also be used through adaptors for an I pad and...
