I am thinking this is a good group to ask. I am looking for a company or individual who does tree removal in Olathe. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you.

Tree Removal Service - Johnson County I’ve got a large, dead tree in my back yard I need to have removed. Looking for recommendations for a fair priced tree removal...

My folks had a dangerous ~80ft oak tree removed by Kansas City Tree Care in 2017 for, I think, around $4k; KC Arborist quoted over $18k and wanted to bring in a crane to lift limbs over the house (the tree was next to the house, not behind it) while KC Tree Care just used a pulley system to control the limbs and lower them safely to the ground. We think KC Arborist was too scared of the tree (another tree person said he wouldn't even touch it) and just didn't want the job so they did this outrageous quote, but we obviously don't know for sure. https://www.kctreecaresiteks.com/
I can't recall all of their names but Josh was the crew leader, and the one doing the cutting, and they all did a really good job; no damage to the yard or house, although they did damage the neighbor's metal gate when pulling into their backyard but they took the gate, fixed it, and reinstalled it. They cleaned up everything, even putting a crew member on the roof to blow leaf debris off. My folks seemed quite satisfied with the work.

I have used Ryan a couple of times for trimming and removal and always been pleased with the price considering how well they did and how quickly they took care of it (due to crew size). I believe they offer 20% off during January and February due to it being a slower time...at least they did last year when I needed some work done. They always come out and do a quote very quickly, and you don’t need to be home for either the quote or the work.

Call Summit lawn and landscaping. Not sure if they do this but they do a lot of stuff and I have always been happy with their work.

I'd recommend Arboles Tree Trimming. They removed a large, dead elm from my yard and did a great job for an extremely good price. https://www.360 kc.com/Landscaping/ArbolesTreeTrimming.html
