HVAC recommendations? My wife and I need a new water heather, furnace and AC unit in the near future and we are compiling a list of places or people to get ahold of when...

I know some guys who work at Action Plumbing, Heating and Air and I know they do quality work, I can't guarantee they'll give you a cheaper estimate but it's worth looking into.

I've been pleased with cost and work done by both Capitol, and Luxury Heating and air on the HVAC side. National Heating and air and JH are on my "don't even bother calling list" JH for crazy high quoted prices, and National got on my bad side for pushing stuff I didn't need and then over/charging me for stuff they didn't do. Craig Hansen & Spring Plumbing are the first two numbers on my call list for plumbing issues. Both are local, smaller outfits but the guy doing the work is also the one who's name is on the side of the company van.

Keep in mind regulations just went into effect in April to make your water heater more expensive. http://journalstar.com/niche/neighborhood-extra/news/will-your-next-water-heater-fit-through-the-door-after/article_836 aa4 b4-a1 af-59 b1-b7 a7-f9 d79 efd1536.html My latest experience is with Wellmann and Action. I thought Wellmann did a good job. Action was who was used to build the house and they have been ok. I did have to replace the A/C in year 6 of a new house. The Carrier unit went out a few months after its puny 5-year warranty.

I own a few rental properties and Luxury Heating and Air has definitely been my choice of company to take care of the anything in my units

I just thought I should chime in, we had a quote from John Henry a few years ago for a new AC unit, and then got a quote from Action Heating and Air for roughly 1000 dollars less. I don't remember the numbers now, but I wanna say around 3000 k.

I got a quote from John Henry and also thought it was insanely high. They do have that reputation, from what I've gathered. I have an older AC system at a rental property that I used to have to refill with coolant every Spring. I always used Capitol Heating and Air (and we use them at my work) and I think they would charge me about $100 each time. $350 is nuts! So I guess I'm recommending Capitol. They always seemed legit, and fair with their charges. I honestly don't have much experience with any other companies. Good luck!

JH is insanely expensive. I have had good look with [Capitol heating and cooling](http://www.capitolheatair.com/). Decently known around town and not crazy expensive like JH. I knew the part that needed replacing on my furnace and contacted them. They did the work for cheaper than I could of ordered it for.

In my opinion, Capitol Heating is wonderful. 402-483-6080. Used them at work and at home.

Check out All Pro. I used to work for them, and now they do all of my AC/furnace stuff, including my rental properties.

I've had good luck with Brian Hester heating and air.

John Henry replaced my furnace/AC when it took a dump. They've always provided great service with nice technicians.

I've used both Capitol Heating and Techmaster (my neighbor works for techmaster).

Action is who my family and I have always used and they've been fantastic. I did use Capitol Heating when I first bought my house and Action was overbooked and they did a great job.
