When we don't have neighbors watching our dog we use Canine Cabana too!
Cindy B. replied:
We love Camp Bow Wow! Staff is professional and friendly and facility is clean and nice. My favorite thing is the camper cam so we can watch our dog playing w/her furry friends! Great discounts too if you buy multiple day packages.
Vanessa P. replied:
I love Camp BowWow. They don't upcharge for everything and the staff is great. Plus, they have "puppycams", so you can watch your pooch while you are away =0)

I'm a pretty big fan of Canine Cabana. We were one of their first customers. http://www.caninecabana.biz/

I second Canine Cabana. Our dog loves it there.

Love Canine Cabana also!
Elise B. replied:
Oaklane Kennels in Valrico is the owners, Ted and Sally really care about the dogs. Our dog is 7 and has been going there since she was a puppy. We've tried all of the others when they first opened up but always went back to Oaklane. They have packages too but even their per day rate is cheaper then most places. 813-689-4043.

Sarah M. replied:
You may want to post what you are looking to pay weekly. You could also try care.com I've heard so people were happy with sitters from there. Just a suggestion.
Jessica R. replied:
Care.com is where we found our nanny- I loved access to background screening recommendations, and could pay them directly through there

Sidekicks Martial Arts. Absolutely wonderful program! I have 3 seven year olds and they loved it last summer. Touch base with Manny Cabrera he owns it!
Manny C. replied:
Hey Karen, thanks for the love! Certainly I'd love to talk about our program with anyone that will listen, however we don't do camp for 2 days a week. We only do full weeks (which for is is three or more day) because each week has a cohesive curriculum. More info can be found here. Http://www.lithiamartialarts.com/ Kids really seem to love it.

I don't have any experience with Happy Faces. However, Premier Care Pediatrics is next door so I have seen the entrance. Two things I was not impressed with - the fact the reflective coating on the door has not been repaired, and I can't really see that the building is very secure.

I haven't heard great things about Happy Faces (isn't that the one behind Outback??). We take our daughter to Lamb of God and love it!
Any recommendations for Spanish program/teacher for 2nd and 3rd grader. Not looking for child care. Really want them to learn Spanish!!!! Thanks!
Brian K. replied:
Hi Ann, I am doing a cd program right now called The Pimsleur Method. I took two years of Spanish in college but never felt that it was going to be conversational. I like this program because its interactive, conversational, and I can do it in a half hour commute to work each day. Intiendo y hablo un poco de espanol. Buenas noches.

There is a lady here in FH that gives Spanish lessons to kids: Carla Mount (813) 569-9790, carlamount@aol.com. I haven't tried her yet but I will. My husband and I are both Peruvian, we only speak Spanish at home, but my kids, 3 and 5, speak Spanglish!!
Have a client looking to move to FH that needs someone that does In Home Day Care for their 2 1/2 yr old. Does anyone offer this service? If so, can you post your...

Any recommendations on a day care right around FishHawk for a 1 yr old and does anyone know what a rough estimate for full time runs before I start calling places
Robyn D. replied:
My one year old is at Open Arms Lamb of God....less than 5 minutes away. We pay $130 for 3 full days/week and that includes all snacks and lunches (maybe even breakfast). I would think that 5 days/week would be just a little bit more.

just call and get quotes it depends on if you want full time or part time and the hours. We love FishHawk Early Learning Center II but I is also good from what I hear. Ask about time off FHELC gives you half off tuition if you miss the entire week. The Learning Experience is also great but they cost much more. I would avoid Kids R Kids not from personal experience but I’ve heard people complain about them and pull their kids from school - which I have never heard at FHELC.
Melissa S. replied:
We love FishHawk Early Learning Center. Call for pricing, they have a sheet with a lot of options, including part time MWF or T/TH. Also when you call ask about vacation time. FHELC offers half off your tuition if you miss the entire week due to vacation or illness. Ask about registration fees and are they yearly - I think FHELC is $100 per year and 10% off for siblings? Also ask about ratios. FHELC has excellent teacher/student ratios.
Does anyone have a ballpark figure on daycare costs around here and a recommendation for an 18 month old? I just wanted an idea. TIA!
