Kathy C. replied:
Oh we have. They questioned his DD214 giving Viet Service medal. Said all unit could have that. Then DVA refuses my seeing emailsafter I found document from archives showing him assigned to Air squadron used for spraying, recovery and refueling. Hello Danang. Who reads these reports we poor our hearts into. And track all the info our loved ones aren't here to testify too.

Vanessa, your post was not rude. AO issues are extremely complicated, and approvals vary from Regional Offices to Regional Office. No lawyer can help with this. I wrote to Gen Hickey, case was deferred.
Barbara W. replied:
Vanessa is right it is time and place for Korea vets. Narrow window of opportunity 1 year and only on the DMZ plus records for Korea are spotty at best so the chances of proving your unit went into the DMZ is 50/50 at best. DoD knows how much it has cost them for Viet Nam and they are trying to cover up how long they used it in Korea in an attempt to stem the hemorrhage of money to compensate vets for thier F-UP
