I would never buy Hokas without trying them on first. I went for a demo run in Bondis and absolutely hated them. A few months later, I did a demo run in Stinson Tarmacs and loved them. Normally, I run in a size 8 shoe. I need size 8.5 for my Hokas. I found a great deal online and gambled and purchased a size 8, but they just don't feel the same. I recently found a great deal on clearance at RunningWarehouse.com. I bought two more pairs of size 8.5 for only $72 each. Is there a local running store that sells Hokas that you could try them on? If so, why not buy them there for your first pair. That will make them easy to return if they don't quite fit right or you don't like them.
