My dogs are LARGE, a 9 month old St Bernard at 120 lbs and a 4 year old St Bernard at 135 lbs. We use Pet Set on Cherry for daycare and boarding and the dogs love it! A private room to board and indoor and outdoor play all day. Also a doggie cam to keep an eye on your precious dog while you are away. Check out the web site and doggie cam at petsetlb.com

We use Bark Bark Daycare in Signal Hill. It's like a doggie slumber party!!

I've never used it but have heard of dogvacay.com

The Pet Set on Cherry, boarding is in a room versus a kennel and they get doggie day care all day included in price, I think it's $45 a night.
Donna H. replied:
I haven't used them yet (I never travel), but you might try private boarding so your dog has more focused attention. I did notice most of the options in Long Beach tend towards small dogs, but there are a few that seem to accept large. http://dogvacay.com/
