Okay cool thanks. I'll check it out too. Thinking I can probably get some kind of rice and maybe veggies at Panda Express too? We are in the process of moving, and I don't want to try to cook while unpacking and chasing around the baby. So I'm hoping for some fast food fixes. Husband got chick fil a last night so all I had were fries and fruit lol

Raspados Colima has amazing food and desserts, and they definitely cater, but I can see why somebody might not want that for their wedding I think I’ve seen Italian Garden do catering, and i love their food. A little more traditional of a wedding catering choice.
covfefeonahandstand replied:
Honey child's they have the BEST catering. It's amazing.
Texxx81 replied:
Abuelo's caters and they have a variety of stuff - not just what's on their menu. I know they'll do prime rib, for example. Or at least they used to.
DrTokinkoff replied:
Solid choices so far, I would like to throw in Danny’s Hens and Fins. They have catered my business for six years now and I have been happily fed some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had from a catering company.
Kaydeewithak replied:
I second honey child. I tried to get them for my wedding a couple years ago, but they were booked already.

Ooooh buddy you don't want to miss out on Tejas 2150 outside of Slaton. Steaks as big as your chest, half the price of any other steakhouse. Slow service, built in a barn, and some of the best cooking I've ever had in my life. BYOB and get ready to spend a bit there. http://www.yelp.com/biz/tejas-2150-slaton

Orlandos! Get the down n dirty tortellini and green chili chicken on brown rice.

If you want some of the best fried chicken of your life, go to Slim Chickens. Get Cayenne Ranch as your dipping sauce and get the tenders shaken in whatever wrong sauce you choose (or not). It is absolutely mind blowing!

If there is anything Lubbock is good at, it's food. That's why 30% of the people here are morbidly obese.

Lee's Cafe. It's a southern soul food restaurant in downtown Lubbock. Good as hell. I also like going to Aloha BBQ, Hawaiian BBQ. Their servings is huge, so don't be surprise

For BBQ drive just outside town to Wolfforth to argue Maes. They have a Facebook pages with their hours. Best BBQ I've had. Even the Texas Monthly BBQ Snob has said it's as good as the places ranked at the top of their list. Get there early because they sell out. The Shack is also a good option for BBQ. Their ribs are amazing. The Asian I recommend Thai Pepper in the Hospital area just west of Covenant Hospital on 18th Street. Aloha BBQ is a Hawaiian BBQ joint. Not a traditional American BBQ place. Similar to Korean. Good food and you will certainly not leave hungry. The family that owns it used to live on the islands and ran restaurants there before moving. It's located at 9800 Indiana. For American check out Crafthouse Gastropub. 34th and Flint. They have a seasonal menu that is always fresh with some amazing options. They also have a great selection of craft beers and good cocktails. Pizza: either Westcrust Pizza (82nd and Homestead) for thin crust with some rather eclectic options. Also, Capital Pizza (26th and Boston) for some thicker crust cheesy greatness. Diner food: Tech Cafe (50th and Ave P) and Cast Iron Grill (19th and Ave F) Bar: I am partial to Local Bar (2400 Broadway). Large selection of Texas beers and liquor. They also happen to serve some damn good burgers.

The Shack is the best BBQ in Lubbock, period. I have also heard good things about Evie May's in wolfforth, but haven't tried it yet. The Japanese places in Lubbock are essentially all the same. Hayashi is my favorite, but Tokyo, O'Hana, or Shogun are all fine, too. For American, Teddy Jack's has a good selection of burgers, sandwiches and pizza. Blue Sky has good burgers, Spanky's has the best fried cheese you will ever eat, along with burgers and sandwiches.

Folks always mention the sidebar in a snarky manner. When I view it on my phone the post appear to be about 4 years old. Not exactly current considering how good BBQ and other options are relatively recent to Lubbock. Edit: because I obviously don't know the difference between a measure of time and an ugly raisin.

Depends on your budget, type you're looking for, and area of town. We have the highest per capita restaurants soooo there are plenty of options. Fine dining Las Brisas is a wonderful option, won't find a better wine selection in the area until you get to Dallas. Orlandos is good for Tex-Italian. Tripple J's has a nice little microbrewery, but I've never been a fan of the food personally. Hayashi off 82 nd is a little over priced for the simple hibachi food and okay sushi. Haven't seen anyone mention Jazz yet, its awesome cajun style food!
TxMedic436 replied:
Hibashi off 82 nd & Quaker is pretty decent. Depending on where are coming from the food here may not be as good as you would like. There is a Brazilian place called "Churasca" off 82 nd between Frankford and Milwuakee which is like a Fogo de Chao. A new restaurant off 73 rd and Milwaukee called "Teddyjack's" has brick oven pizza which I really like. Lubbock has plenty of places to eat, but be prepared for a crowd, it seems like everybody in this city goes out to eat on the weekends.
quick... suggest a good sit down mexican food restaurant near The Ballpark and Cowboys Stadium.
