Are there any emergency dental services in Dorset at all, can't trace one? Also does anyone recommend a dentist that is good with kids in Lyme Regis area please. My poor...
Debbie C. replied:
Hi Charlene Rattenbury many thanks, I tried Dorchester Hospital but that dept is close and there is no team for Dorset on the NHS website. Hence a bit stuck, I'm hoping he'll be ok by Monday and think I'll take him to Medical Centre tomorrow morning as we can't risk it getting infected.
Michele R. replied:
I would go to a & e be done with it. Miss Symes offers emergency private treatment on 07956633221
Debbie C. replied:
Hi Claire Bennett no he's not in pain, but there is tooth remaining in the gum, hence I'm concerned about an infection setting in. I'll take him to the Lyme Regis Medical Centre tomorrow morning for some advice.
Alan O. replied:
Kent House in Lyme Regis......they are really good
Debbie C. replied:
Thank you Jacki Taylor, I rang 111, they gave me a number for Devon Emergency Dental Treatment and then when I gave my address told me that because I was in Dorset I needed a Dorset number. She couldn't find one so she gave me a mobile to call to ask for the Dorset number.... I'm guessing there isn't one. I don't suppose Kent House is open on Sundays?
Michele R. replied:
I found Kent House very poor. Axminster dental surgery I've found excellent - just rang them and they give an out of hours emergency number 01392823682
Christina F. replied:
On our notice for Urgent Care Dental Service for Dorset we have the number 0845 7010401 - never had to use it but worth a try maybe. It was issued by the nhs1
Michele R. replied:
Miss Symes hurt me Axminster dental place is the best I've found (third place I've registered) but I'm very fussy about not being ripped off and getting great service 0129733733
Simon A. replied:
Paul Bester he's your man
Cheryl R. replied:
Paul Bester is amazing, great dentist and really nice guy, after going to dentists for last 60 years I know what I'm talking about. xC
Can anyone recommend a dentist in the Axminster/Lyme area that takes on NHS patients please.. but not a woman dentist lol.. I am terrified of women dentists!!!
Jo E. replied:
Try the Axminster one in Chard St .............. 01297 33733. The Kent House one in Lyme has a long waiting list but I think Ax is taking new patients
Annie S. replied:
I just checked there website... http://www.symesdentalsurgery.co.uk/ and pmsl........ needs to be seen to be believed lol
Ann K. replied:
Dr Paul Bester is the best I have ever been to. He is at the Lyme bay surgery, but no idea if he has any spaces for new patients. Good luck
Can anyone recommend an NHS dentist in Lyme please...Charmouth is closing!!
Thanks
Ben W. replied:
Monty Python meets Pink Floyd in some ways lol:-D
Sarah A. replied:
I throughly recommend Miss Symes she was fantastic with my neurotic 8 year old daughter and my other half has bee goin to her since he was 3 and hes ancient now!
Sam T. replied:
I've heard that Kent house 'Paul Bester' has gone back to NHS, but only for 6 months.
Lorraine W. replied:
Kent House will see anyone on Nhs up until March that needs treatment after Charmouth close but not as permanent patients. Miss Symes is taking on new patients. Have just registered...just in case anyone else in same predicament:)
Geoff B. replied:
It is an absolute bloody disgrace that there is no apparent NHS dentist in Lyme. A lot of the pensioners cannot afford to go private or buy insurance.
