Good morning! Can anyone recommend a good Horse Dentist
in the area?
Cathy H. replied:
Dr. Baker (the husband) in hawkinsville has my vote. My older horse had three teeth that were abscessed and had to be removed. He was GREAT!!!
Paula N. replied:
Diane Febles. In McDonough GA. She is a vet that specializes in dentistry. She travels all over the state. Most vets that do not like doing mouth work recommend her. She is considered the "go to" person in GA for Equine dentistry770-954-0793. FYI in GA it is illegal for a non vet to do equine dentistry.
Lisa H. replied:
Anna Sutton - came and did mine and did a great job.
James T. replied:
Mandy Jo Brooks --from newnan -on facebook -she si a trained horses dentist-not a vet-
Dr. Charlene Cook of Fort Valley is an excellent dentist and her associate, Dr. Hall, did an intensive study in dentistry. Their number at Central Georgia Equine Services is 478-825-1981
Due to insurance change I am needing a new dentist. Can you make a good recommendation?
Monica F. replied:
We love Dr. Kuo at North Macon Dental478-477-1228.
Emily P. replied:
Amber Lawson is great!
Rick W. replied:
Jimmy Cassidy on College Street is super. But he is expensive. If you have ins, I heartily recommend him. Lucy and I have been with him for 20+ years.
Ruth R. replied:
Dr. Eric Hall on Arkwright. Excellent.
Jim D. replied:
Dr. Booth.... Howard (Doug) Booth
Sarah C. replied:
I have seen Dr. Godfrey since I was four years old! Him and his partners, dr. brad and Jen Roberson are great too!
Allyson M. replied:
We love Dr. Cassidy on College.
Amy W. replied:
Dr. Donald Benton. He's great. He's conservative when it comes to problems, meaning that he'd rather try to save the tooth before drilling or removing it, but when action is needed, he acts. He'll see kids, too, as long as they behave themselves in his office. I went to Ingleside Dental Associates once, and they were awful.
Allyson M. replied:
Northside Family Dentistry is wonderful, too -- we went to school with Dr. Nicole Lewis Jackson's kids, and she gave the class a tour.
We used Dr. Scott in the past along with Dr. Boland.
George F. replied:
Went to dr Boland my entire life....he is awesome.. Dr Scott is good too.
Amy S. replied:
Dr. Scott took over from Dr. Boland in same building. We love them!!
Kim E. replied:
Well... The crappy short term medical plan that I took out until I start back to work is a joke. Somehow they have me listed as being in Fort Valley Ga even though the bills are sent to me in Macon. I can not use a Macon dentist until Nov 1 st. There are only 2 dentists in Macon, one on Zebulon Road and a Dr. Stockslager. Am not impressed.
DeLaine S. replied:
Dr Shah@Macon Smiles on Forsyth Rd near Zebulon Rd
Kelly J. replied:
Dr. Larry Thigpen on Vineville. love him!! Long-time family friend!
Greta O. replied:
We use Dr. Scott, he is fantastic!
Karla L. replied:
Dr Stockslager is good. A lot of people from Northside use him
Kim E. replied:
That is good to know Karla Taylor Lewis. Hopefully I will be starting back to work in December. If a lot of people at Northside use him does that mean he is a preferred provider for the dental plan?
Keren M. replied:
Dr Hall Senior and Dr Hall Junior, in the Office Complex opposite the entrance to River North.
Need a dentist recommendation in Macon please! Thanks!
Sarah S. replied:
They were very impersonal, not kind to the kids, mentioned strapping kids to chairs who did not cooperate, and would but let me go back with the kids. My kids love Dr. Ross! He's very kind and patient with them, so are the assistants. If I want to go b...See More
Sarah S. replied:
Dr. Charles A. Ross DMD, PC.... it's just him so I think that's how he's listed.
Kelly B. replied:
I go to Dr. James Cassidy. He is wonderful:)
Gretchen S. replied:
Tanya-I should really thank you! I am so much happier with you and Dr. Garvin than I was with my own dentist. Plus, too many things happened with Madison for me to stay where the kids were going.:)
Greg K. replied:
Tanya Stroud Mixon- I would love to be able to come there. Dr. Garvin is the first dentist who was truly kind and caring to me, along with everyone who worked there. I kept having pain and went to two different dentists that could not find the problem. Dr. Garvin found it and I ended up with a root canal that finally fixed it. I'm going to message you!
Greg K. replied:
I love Dr. Garvin, but my insurance doesn't cover him.:( He was hands down my favorite dentist.
Julie L. replied:
We go to North Macon Dental. Our hygienist is Avy. LOVE LOVE LOVE her! I go and just sit and chat with her while she is doing the kids:) I think the actual dentist is Dr. Kao but we've never needed him for anything other than just a quick chech.
Greg K. replied:
Ahh...now I'm going to have to call and cancel the kids' apt. I just set up appts with them at Small Smiles of Macon off of Eisenhower. This sounds like what I'm looking for!
Sarah S. replied:
We use Dr. Ross on Mercer. I switched from Small Smiles years ago to Dr. Ross. I absolutely cannot stand Small Smiles!
So apparently the crown on my root canal does not fit well enough and I need to get another made. Cost $900 @ dental care center in Macon just for the crown (excluding...
Don M. replied:
What ever you do, Do Not use Dr. Michael Doyle. He broke my tooth durning a root canal, and the tooth had a crown. I lost the tooth. Dr. James Cassidy extracted the tooth and said that Doyle had broken it. Dr. Cassidy did an implant ...
Don M. replied:
Jimmy Cassidy is the best in Georgia. Located on College Street.
Randy M. replied:
There's a cement filler they use now to build a tooth back up. I've had 2 done by Dr Ashley Walker on Bass Rd. They were about $150 apiece. That might work just as well. Mine are great and I was told by another dentist I needed crowns. My dentist had retired and turned his practice over to the one that said crowns plus another 5,000 of work was needed. I found a new dentist
