Hi everyone, I'm new here and to board game design in general. My wife and I have been developing a relativity simple card game aimed at families and casual players. One...

I used gamecrafter - which also lets you sell them online as a pay per print thing - its a little expensive for shipping but not too bad. Easy to control and organise. https://www.thegamecrafter.com/
Simon R. replied:
The Game Crafter looks interesting, I like the idea of selling directly too.
Justin C. replied:
I can't talk about service, but I have been looking at www.makeplayingcards.com
Josh S. replied:
I've used http://www.printerstudio.com/ a few times, and have absolutely no qualms recommending them. Cheap and high quality, though shipping time can be a bit varied? Custom card stuff is here : http://www.printerstudio.com/unique-ideas/custom-card-and-puzzle-games.html Good luck
Simon R. replied:
After looking at the options, and taking into consideration the fact that my game is 145 cards, I think The Game Crafter will be the best option for me. I look forward to giving it a try

Does anyone know of any graphic novel artists that live in Madison? I have a friend who needs to find some artists who live in the area for their class. Any help would...

I think that [John Kovalic](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kovalic) lives in or near Madison, although he's more of a cartoonist than a graphic novel artist. Other than that, I'd suggest going to a comic book store and asking around. The employees are generally pretty knowledgeable.

[Dan Fransee](http://werepizza.deviantart.com/) is a personal friend of mine who is an absolutely fantastic artist and is always looking for work. [He's also on Reddit](http://www.reddit.com/user/werepizza)
This is a prototype question. I am aware of most of the print on demand sites. I am looking for one I can give an illustrator file that has a full deck set up for sheet...
John T. replied:
All the POD vendors I've looked at so far have required separate files for each card. I'm not sure if this will help at all, but have you considered looking for someone on fiverr.com who'd be willing to do the work of separating the individual files out for you?
Ryan A. replied:
Maybe check out artscow.com

Have tried the game crafter. thegamecrafter.com
Eliot H. replied:
Also, it's really hard to just give a printer a full sheet of cards for POD and expect there to be no work necessary. PrintPlayGames.com has sheets of 18 or more. But most POD doesn't print large enough to do a whole deck on one sheet, which is what you're asking for. If you're doing a deck where the cards have a pattern, you could use the InDesign data merge trick to work with your cards the way you want for demonstrations, then re-output as single cards when you're ready to print.
I am looking for a compagnie to print a small number of games (maybe 5-10), including the board, cards, etc.
Do someone know with whom I can do business and have a good...
Chris R. replied:
https://www.thegamecrafter.com/ and http://www.printplaygames.com/ both can do it.
James C. replied:
What Chris said. I've used PrintPlayGames.com for small runs of game components and they've always done an excellent, fast job.
Hi, I have just finished designing a board game, however everything was hand/homemade. I would love to have it created/supplied by a professional group/business/company....

Ulrich you can try this site http://www.printplaygames.com/

My advice: once you have playtested the game thoroughly with your friends for at least a few months, create the best version you'd be able to self-publish. Also get the art as best you can. You can skimp on almost any cost in the game, but never on the art. Go to Deviant art and find the style you would like. You can commission an artist there, but it will be cheaper to get a local artist that can duplicate the style and it is always easier to work with someone face to face. Do a video of how the game work and load it as private (not public) on youtube. Use this to pitch it to boardgames.co.za. They will be able to tell you if the game will sell locally, and if they will list it for you on their site. You won't be making any real money by self-publishing, but if the game sells, and most critical, if it generates good reviews, you can approach the Fancy Flight Games type publishers of this world. Only through the type of sale volumes they get can a game make a fair profit.
