I have lived here for 6 months, there are nice places but from what I have seen they aren't really lively. The Smoking Dog Pub is always busy when I go past it, quite a fancy pub with nice food. I hear Europa is nice, not sure if lively and a wine bar has opened up next door to it x

The Langley Tap is one of our favourite. Our local, The Rose And Crown, Lea does nice food too. Our favourite for really lovely food (birthday treats) is La Flambé in Sutton Benger. (They serve the very best Sunday Lunch around, in my book)

If you like a good carvery, give The Pheasant in Chippenham a try, would advise booking though.
