I worked for Dorothy Shinners at Globe when I was doing my certification program at MCC; then worked for GOGO TOURS from 83-84, Then Lantz Travel from 84-86 ( with my buddy Lee Darling Kauper) then off for 6 yrs for Myles and Norma Covey at Myles Trave l in Glastonbury- then done with the Brick and Mortars, I moved to Collette Tours but they were closing their satellite offices because of the growth of internet ( this was early 90's) so I headed to the Casino where I was Concierge Manager and then worked for the Tribe in their travel agency... ( which closed also) The focus is not small travel agencies anymore because most closed as commissions were so small and prices up for rent, insurance etc.. However I feel that they will slowly make a comeback as there is only so much the internet will tell you and alot is just a shade above fradulent info. If you have a couple of thousand to spend on a vacation, then spend a few dollars to the travel agent to have her do your trip!!

We used Atlantic travel her name was Avis she was good and it was a smaller business which was nice she does it out of her home if I remember correctly.
