Can anyone tell me of a good Vet locally, ( Huddersfield area) that is open today ( Sunday) Thanks
Micha B. replied:
if you ring them they always have emergency staff on phone line 24/7 and vets on call and will put you through to maple street.. 01484 421512 ... they will charge higher fees though as its out of hours but they are who i have used last 14 yrs

There's always Calder Vets hospital in Dewsbury ... bit further but open Sunday
Looking for local vet recommendations- I don't drive so would have to be able to get there by public transport.
Sue M. replied:
Ashfield Vets in Meltham (bus Marsden-Slawit then Slawit-Meltham) or Calder Vets, near Laura Ashley & Bath Store, Huddersfield (train or bus direct to Hudds).
Julie W. replied:
Calder Vets in town as Sue has stated above. I catch train into town and walk round to their surgery too.
Calder Vets Lockwood. They have a few branches that specialise in different fields and a 24 hour emergency hospital in Dewsbury.
Sharon T. replied:
Calder Vets. I use the Lockwood one but like Gail says they have several locations & a 24 hr telephone line & emergency hospital. Good opening times too
Recommendations, please, for a vet prepared to remove a tumour on our much loved 9 year old goldfish. Apologies if this photo upsets or offends anyone. Thank you
Sarah D. replied:
Our 10 year old Cockney Bob has a similar tumor on his nose. We were told it would be hundreds of pounds if not thousands, and not a great chance of survival.
