Edgewater-Annapolis friends, who do you recommend for a primary physician in the area? Kenneth Graham and I both have primary doc still in DC but would like someone...
Connie W. replied:
I second Jennifer Bell's recommendation for Dr. Wayne Bierbaum at Owensville Primary Care. He has been George's primary care doc for many years.
Meredith A. replied:
And another vote for Maryland Primary Care.
Katie M. replied:
Annapolis Internal Medicine-- Dr. Courtney Milne-Krohn is great! She is very thorough and nice.
Jennifer B. replied:
I go to Owensville Primary Care and really like Dr. Bierbaum. But I'm not sure if they are accepting new patients right now.
Bob Y. replied:
Dr. Behrens Maryland Primary Care
Jacki T. replied:
I second Annapolis Internal Medicine - they have a walk-in clinic in addition to regular appointments.

I have been very happy with South River Family Medicine. Stephen Killian and Terry Everhart. There is also a female doc that I haven't met - the former female moved when her husband was transferred. But I liked her too. Both are very approachable and personable. Front desk can occasionally need some finesse but they aren't prescribing. They also use My Chart so I can get a referral without an appt, get my lab results, etc. They use Anne Arundel not Calvert. All said though I still love Georgetown.
Linda G. replied:
South River Family Medicine, Terry Everhart.
Mary B. replied:
I third Annapolis Internal Medicine. I see Drs. Corhan and Sourwine. Nice too is they have their own walkin clinic
Scott H. replied:
I see Dr John Christie at Christie Medical Center on Riva Rd. He's a very thorough doctor and has a walk-in clinic. Works great with Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance.
Peter D. replied:
South River.. Terry Everhart.
Kelly T. replied:
Dr. Lake at Annapolis Primary Care. She is relatively new there but she is fantastic! And still accepting patients.

I go to Annapolis Internal Medicine as well. (Dr.Michelle Gordon) hasn't yelled at me yet. Between her and Dr. Everhardt,, I feel very comfortable knowing that I'm getting very good health care. I see Dr. Gordon for the diabetes and she's linked by marriage to Cardiology Associates docs, at least one of them. Sometimes my medical needs change quickly and we've found both offices to be responsive to request for prescription refill requests. Nice thing about South River Family Medicine is that any needed 'blood work' can be done right across the hall (LabCorp). They are very professional and in four years, I've never waited more than ten to fifteen minutes to get samples taken. Eliminates procrastination. Both South River & Annapolis Internal Medicine have ample parking and are easy to get to, South River more than the other. The walk in clinic at Annapolis Internal medicine is appealing as well and I've heard good things about it. Bottom line is within fifteen minutes of your home, you can access quality Primary Health Care.
