I had Nissen Fundaplication...sounds similar. The upper third of my stomach was wrapped around my esophagus to eliminate the hernia that was causing the opening to my stomach to stay open, allowing acid to constantly come up my esophagus....along with any other stomach contents. Just go to sharps hospital,take uber,they are newer cars cheaper, in the emergency room ask for Dr.Barraaza,agin very cheap!! He is there daily until 3:pm he gave my husband great care,twice!!!

Dr Jorge Mojarro. New La Marina hospital. He is the best. English and lots of experience. From Guadalajara. My miniscus plus fixed 2 other problems he found. Total less than 3000 including hospital stay. Ask him about some of the complicated operations he has done

A year and a half ago while in Mazatlan I tore my meniscus in my left knee. I went to Dr. Juan Navarro and he did an excellent job. He came out to where I was staying 3 days post op and gave me his personal cell phone number if I had any issues. My right knee is bad and I plan on going back to him. He has his own surgery center attached to his office.

My husband had meniscus surgery in November at Sharp Hospital by Dr. Mario Armando Castellanos (4 th floor Polymedica, Suite 404) 669-986-8008 Since then two of our friends have also used him (one is the Canadian Consular). He was trained in Tacoma, Washington and speaks very good English. We were very pleased. Outpatient surgery so no hospital stay. Our friends had the procedure done downtown in one of his offices. They were very happy and it was less expensive. Said it was up to date and clean...just like an operating room in a hospital.

aciclovir is the way it is spelled and my husband is on it for a different issue and it is available but we got it from a dr. We have been to the Marina Hospital and it was wonderful. They take a credit card where a doctor won't. There was no wait time go right away and they speak English well

Dr Marco A Velarde S found at the Costa de Oro hotel. Clinica de Costa. Call Costa de Oro Hotel and ask for Doctor Velarde, thirty plus years serving Mazatlan. His office is directly across the street from Mary's Ice Cream parlor! Go and meet him and find out what he can do for you!

Dr. Zazueta is and excellent diagnostician and a very caring and compassionate man with a reassuring bedside manner. He also is a tireless worker. When my wife was chronically ill he would make housecalls or hospital visits as late as ten thirty at night, only to be back again at 9:00 in the morning. I don't know if his responsibilities with the Marina hospital allow him to do this, but if he is still accepting patients, I would recommend him without reservation.

From my experiance a month a go, Marina Hospital. Have no insurance for elective surgery. Chose not to be evacuated back to Alberta.Half the cost of Sharp. Same specialist surgeon that operates in both hospitals. One night with the best of care.

I really liked Dr. Zazueta, but quit going to him because his assistant kept changing my medicine without checking with the doctor, and once wrote me a prescription for a medicine the doctor had just said I did NOT need. The assistant insisted I did. I now go to Dr. Velasco, an internist at Sharp Hospital...where you pay $115 US for a room per night, $80 if you have the Sharp discount card that costs 295 pesos for 2 years.

I would first find a Dr. and establish yourself as a patient, then in case of an emergency you would be covered. I use Dr. Zazueta at the Marina Hospital.
