Why not try the local bar association? They usually have referrals to lawyers who will do work pro-bono and those who don't.

I used [Pesner Kawamoto](http://www.pesnerkawamoto.com/) when buying property, and they do Tenant Law as well. I went with them on a recommendation, and Susan Pesner turned out to be a real hard-nosed no-nonsense type. She's someone that you'd want on your side of the table.
Can anyone refer me to a good attorney to do an ICA SSDI case? I live in the New York area, but am open. email:marlenadlc@aol.com

Here is a link to the ICA website on Disability. There is a link to helping you find a lawyer as well as LOTS of important information on filing. I highly recommend that you read all the sections and get educated about it if you haven't already. I am on SSDI but was denied the first time and had to appeal before I was finally approved. Let me know if you have questions. http://www.ichelp.org/Page.aspx?pid=416
