I go to the actual airlines, no one has ever been able to beat United directly. If it's for destination traveling I use Carolyn Norman, carolyn@unispectrum.com I've never been able to beat her destination package deals.

I've been liking skyscanner.com for comparing prices and schedules. I'm not to sure about some of the sites it directs you to for booking though. Always check with the airline directly, they will often have the same price. Of course I love alaskaairlines.com
