Just rung a guy called Andy Green. He's said £40 call out, but if it's too expensive to repair etc he'll charge £20. His on the phone diagnosis was it could be quite cheap like it's tripped something/circuit board job etc.

Sounds like the thermostat. Go onto espares.co.uk and enter make and model of the drier. They even have easy to follow videos on how to do the repair.
