I had my surgery done in Hattiesburg, but the doctor that did mine moved away I had been going to Dr. Purvis for years, he delivered both my girls, but at the time I needed my hysterectomy he didn't do the Da Vinci robotic surgery which is why I chose to have mine done out of town. Alot of people also go to and rave about Dr. Nelson in Meridian.

If you are looking for a GREAT OB surgeon, look into Samuel Brown. He does more robotic hysterectomy surgeries in the state and has come to Meridian to teach these doctors. He is located in Jackson and did his residency at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Highly recommended! So, here's your question, do you want someone doing this surgery that might only have a 100 or so under their belt or someone with thousands?

I've been Dr. McKiever's patient for 20 years. I have endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and had a frank breech baby by c-section at age 39. He has been a Godsend to me. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my female parts!

Get out of Meridian!!! I went to a few here...hated them...go to Dr Karen Cole in Jackson now...she is well worth that drive! She is soooo sweet and thoughtful...

NOT Dr McKiever!! Would never go back to him if he was the only OBGYN left in this world!! Just had a procedure done in December!! He screwed it up as well as lost my records then didn't even know what he had done. This is after waiting 3 1/2 hours in his waiting room!!

I started going to a Women at Women's Group.they have a Dr. Tress and the other Dr. Is in the same building, but you ck in at the other end of the ck in window. They are both nice, and you don't have the embarrassingness,you would with a man Doctor..they are not in a hurry either. You need to get on hormone meds and Zoloft to help with depressive feelings.

From my experience Mrs.Heather at Woman's Group was wonderful.. She was my Doctor but Nicole Powe at Womens group also is good she delivered Jade.. Dr.Trest is great also, she delivered Aden.. Dr Nelson is good also but she's so booked she hardly accepts new Pts, I tried to get Dr. Nelson but she was booked for my pregnancy.. She was Mone's doctor

Thanks so much ladies. It's time for my annual and men doctors creep me out! I called Dr. Nelson but she's not taking any new patients so I called Dr. Simon. So if for whatever reason I don't like her I'll try Dr. Lowe next lol
