I'm looking for a vet that's great with cats in the Dallas area. Any recommendations? I know many vets will be able to diagnose issues with both dogs and cats, but I'm...

Metro Paws was/is great for me. They have a location on Skillman and Live Oak which is the one I go to. They went above and beyond for me with a cat and a dog. Good people.

I took my cat and my dog here to [Abrams Royal Animal Clinic](http://www.abramsroyalanimalclinic.com/). The waiting room is super small, but they take you whenever - you don't need an appointment like most places. They were good with my cat since you mentioned cats. They micro-chipped my dog, too. Vets seem cool as hell.

I actually jut landed a job at the Hebron Cat Hospital in Carrollton. It's probably too far away for you but I've heard so many good things about them, especially from people who don't live in the area and travel a good distance just to go to them specifically.

Medallion Animal Clinic is where I took my cats when I lived on the east side. Great vet, great techs.

We take our 16 year old cat to east lake veteranary hospital. They've done an awesome job with some very serious health problems and Gooby is healthy active kitty.

[Pet Mobile](http://www.petmobile.com) is where I take my pets. They are very personable and affordable, and they are in garland.

CityVet is excellent. There's a location on McKinney & Bowen, and also one on Oak Lawn & Congress (right by Oak Lawn & Cedar Springs). Love them!

Okay, I will go see Dr. Kris on Monday and figure out how much to get both taken care of and I will let you guys know if that's okay.
Mary W. replied:
Thank You Jan Steen, I am very grateful for any help. I only made the appointment for the female mainly because Dr. Kris' schedule is pretty full and the female was the most important. I still need help finding good, kind homes for BOTH of them, I can take care of them for a while is all. I will state the "problems" they have: escape artists (big time) chickens and cats are NOT exactly their friends, on the up side...they are loving, grateful little dogs, a little "nervous" around people still but have become so much better in the 10 days that I have had them. PLEASE, everyone, these little guys deserve a safe, loving forever home......Thank You !!!
Jan S. replied:
I went to Dr. Kris's today and paid for both of them to get fixed and rabies shots. They said the appointment was for Tuesday.
Mary W. replied:
Jan, I don't know You but I want to give a BIG Thank You for what You have just done to help these 2 little love-starved dogs !!! I want everyone who has been following the thread about this story to know what a wonderful person YOU are !!! She went to Dr. Kris' today and Paid to have both dogs spayed/neutered, & rabies shots....I have a feeling You do this a lot....All I can say is Thank You, again & Bless You for who You are.

These puppies still need their booster shot and post-surgery check up by Dr. Kris. They are slowly getting used to a warm bed, regular meals and not being yelled at/or shot at !!! They will need lots of love and time with them, every day, plus lots & lots of attention....I need to be reassured that anyone interested in them will honestly adhere to this, Plus...well fenced yard (they are very small, and are escape artists) my yard is completely fenced and they have gotten out way to many times for me to count...thankfully my neighbors have retrieved them for me many times and I have spent lots of time fixing & re-fixing fences,so it MUST be a small puppy proof yard. Like I said before, it's going to take lots of time, love and understanding to be able to give these babies a forever home....I owe that much to these little guys that don't understand why someone just dumped them. Jan Steen was an Angel and stepped up and paid for their spay/neuter fee & rabies shots by Dr Kris and I can't begin to thank her enough !!!! Another thing with the puppies: they KILL chickens(my neighbors can attest to this) and they do NOT like cats>>>>MY cats can tell you that. So, there it is, to anyone thinking about them, take all of this into consideration...sleep on it, think about it long and hard, and it wouldn't hurt to pray about it. This IS a big responsibility......and if you are not willing to put these things into making a difference in the life of these sweet pups, then don't ask....PLEASE.
