Good bakery suggestions? This morning for some reason I've really been craving a cream cheese Danish. Know of any good bakeries in town that would make good Danishes?

Batch! I’m not sure if they have a cream cheese danish right now, but they are delicious, with a rotating selection of sweet and savory treats. Batch is on Willy St and Dickinson. Lazy Janes is less than a block away, and they have morning pastries too, so worth an investigation. Maybe give a call.

La Baguette on the far west side is an authentic French patisserie. It's a really sweet French family that owns and runs it. Fantastic pastries!

I would guess it depends where you live and are willing to drive to. The north side Willy street co-op on Sherman carries baked goods from feed kitchens and I am obsessed with their danishes! They are very much so a classic looking and tasting danish but so great, and have a couple flavor options. Sold individually or in packs. I would recommend if you’re over there!

Madison Sourdough's danishes are absolutely fantastic. I haven't had one from Batch, but if they have them then I guarantee they're delicious; that place never, ever stumbles.

I love Lanes Bakery by park street and Stella’s bakery on Syene Road!

Madison Sourdough on Williamson Street has good stuff. Also Mother Fool’s Coffee House also on Williamson Street has great baked goods including fruit danishes. I forget who does their baked goods but they’re also all vegan. I never knew vegan pastry could be so good until I had some at Mothers F.

Manna Cafe. Best bakery I've ever been to. It's always bustling with people. Its a big place but sometimes I can't find a seat. It's that good.

I love the cheese danish from Stella's. Any danish from there is good. seems they go quick but will be plenty in the upcoming farmers market.
