Dr Coy on the corner of Ridgeway and Northfield. Can't beat the location and she is lovely. Also love the other lady doc there, not so keen on the male dr. They also have a sick waiting room which is hard to find.

We love Dr. Coy and her practice. .. they are all wonderful and never rush us. They are on Northfield so very close by.. always fit us in if we have emergency too!

Coy, McDevitt and Garbarino on Northfield Ave! 973 736 4442! You hardly ever wait and they always have same day appts if your child is sick! My son was born at 28 weeks so we spend lots of time there! The office manager Donna is the best too!! I highly recommend them!

Have been going to union pediatrics for 8 years now. Always fit us in and have walk in hours from 8-9 am for sick kids. All the doctors are great but we see Dr. Luke for regular appointments. Located by 5 points.

Dr. Alan Thomas from Summit Medical Group in Berkeley Heights. He is wonderful! I came to know him when he was doing his residency at Overlook. When he became a Pediatrician I immediately chose him for my son (my son is now 28). My brother and his wife had twins 4 years ago and Dr. Thomas has been their doctor since birth. We have all been very pleased with the care given. Dr. Thomas is great with the children and is detail-oriented. He explains EVERYTHING and is also not one to push for medications, prescribing only when absolutely necessary. He uses excellent common sense as well. I'm not sure if he is accepting new patients, but he's definitely one that is worth looking into. Much luck with your search Yehudis Giffin Bernhaut! I will say a prayer for you to find the right one!

Dr Oxman in Union, he is part of Union Pediatric Group. They work weekends plus have early morning walk in hours from 8-9 am for sick children

Dr. Leger in Irvington is great, been with him since my daughter was born, if I call at two in the morning he picks right up, he is great

I take my kids to Dr. Shah in Westfield. I don't know if that's too far for you but I adore him. He's not a pill pusher and is terribly caring and is willing to call you anytime with questions if you leave a message. As an aside, if you ever need after hours care, there's PM Pediatrics in Livingston, which will do everything from general sickness to x-rays and broken bones, etc. There's also Summit Pediatrics that has Pediatric UrgiCare at Overlook Hospital.

I LOVE my Pediatrician. Dr Poon, on Morris ave in Union. It is almost at the springfield border. I always get same day sick appts and he's very aggressive at following up on sick kids but also-not a pill pusher and great with my kids and me. His office is very "no frills" but he's great and very dedicated. He's called my house at 10 pm at night to say--i got test results on x... so we're changing the prescription and I already called it in, you can pick it up from your pharmacy in the morning.

Millburn Pediatrics on Millburn Ave. are great, but I suggest taking a look at who has privileges at the hospital where you will deliver - Most local pediatricians work out of St Barnabas. There are others who stick to Overlook

Just had our first and chose Dr Sandy Voremberg, she's been amazing since day one.
