Brissie friends. I'm after recommendations for cafe type places that are also licenced for a boozy lunch/arvo gathering with uni friends. Suggestions? Perhaps not too...

Plough Inn still there?!!! It's a good place. Really. I don't think I could do that place though on a Fri/Sat night, old memories of drunken locals stammering about the place, but they've probably cleaned up the place a bit & got rid of such silly nonsense since 15 yrs ago when I was last there with old school friends. Used to frequent the place for lunch etc as well, met my aunt there a few yrs back with mum & it wasn't too bad. I'd recommend The Plough Inn yes. There's another place down towards the end (??) further or closer to the captain cook bridge/main road to city (if I'm making any sense), i forget the place/name, thought it was a bit costly though at the time but the food & service was great back then. Was more a restaurant than a pub
