Dee W. replied:
Trillium Hospital on the Queensway has a kids clinic and should be able to give you a list of Pediatric Drs taking patients.
Heather W. replied:
Welcome to the neighbourhood. I also live in the Dixie/Lakeshore area :) My daughter goes to Dr Asady (905-272-9993). He is a great pediatrician and is one of the head doctors at Trillium's NICU dept. He was taking new patients a few months ago, not sure if he is currently. His office is one building west of the hospital. Give his office a call.
Dee W. replied:
Heather that reminds me that Dr. Pachai is also in that building and was my grandsons ped as I recall she's very good with the children and the little one enjoyed the visit
Hi moms....I'm wondering if any of you have used a Pediatric Dermatologist for your little ones. My daughter has this awful recurring crusty rash on her upper eye lid...
Laurel A. replied:
Dr. Sibbald at Applewood is amazing. You'll likely have to wait six months to get your first appointment, though... That's pretty standard with dermatologists.
Jess P. replied:
We went to Dr. Sellers at st. Joes hospital in Etobicoke, I don't remember having to wait long for an appointment.
Donny E. replied:
A trip to Sick Kids Hospital might speed up the process.
Marianna D. replied:
Walk in clinic at Queensway and Hurontario always has dermatologist at regular hours. You usually don't need to wait for more than 30 minutes. They also have pediatricians. http://rapidaccesstomedicalspecialists.ca/

I do much the same Katherine and I don't even do the bread anymore. I have a loaf in the freezer for 3 months now. Gotten away from most of the boxed stuff. It does not take into account medication unless you have X amount of thousands of dollars OVER your deductable. I have an endocrinologist, podiatrist, cardiologist, gastroenterologist, internist, opthamologist, all the ologistst--all have copays multiple times a year. Physical therapy and chiropractic as well. And with meds for gerd, I don't spend enough to get the deductions. I want to say it was over $5,000. a year for the food and $10,000. for medical and the deductions only kick in after you have spent over that much. As I said though, the laws that are being attempted to get passed through, would make those numbers more reasonable. How quickly will this happen? Doubtful in the next year. With the influx of people being legitimately diagnosed though, I wouldn't be surprised if it happens in a couple though.
