Does anyone know of any vegan friendly restaurants around Mobile.

Some middle eastern food is vegan. I like the [Jerusalem Cafe] (http://jerusalem-cafe.com/).

I'm not going to pretend I'm a vegan expert, but I know places like Pita Pit, Roly Poly, Camille's Sidewalk Cafe, and numerous greek restaurants have, at least, vegetarian friendly items which I would think could be customized to fit a vegan lifestyle? Unfortunately I'm not familiar with any local places that cater to that, all of the one's I mentioned are chains (save for the greek stuff). Pita Pit I know has vegan friendly stuff. Here's an article on it from a couple years back... http://vegnews.com/articles/page.do?pageId=3273&catId=8 Also, even though it's a chain, Pita Pit is kind of awesome.

Mellow Mushroom can do some vegan stuff. Sunflower Cafe used to be great. They moved over to Fairhope and I haven't been to the new place yet. It was inside Virginia's Health Foods (and I think is in a Virginia's in Fairhope).

I remember when I worked at Stromboli's restaurant at Koko Marina and our cook stole the Stromboli van and hit John Kamahele while he was riding his motorcycle. John was my little brother Neal Thatchers good friend. They all joked that pretty soon Stromboli's would be called Johnboli's.
