Where's a great place to get hair and nails done (not necessarily the same place)? I'd rather not pay exorbitant rates.

I go to Glamour nails by Albertsons. Ocean Blue used something that burned under my nails bad, it didn't leave a mark, but it felt like it was on fire, and I won't go there again
Katie K. replied:
I think Hair Stars (in the Safeway/Ben Franklin strip) now does both hair and nails. I have been really happy with the haircuts we've had there and the prices are really good.
I need a good salon/spa nearby to go to get my eyebrows waxed that does a really good job.(I can't do it at the pedicure places.) I usually go to the Spa at Pro Sports...

Creative Nails by Grocery Outlet. I went to Blue Ocean a couple times and felt rushed and was not impressed. Rebecca"s seemed good too. Excellent pedicure there.
Golden Nail Spa in the Safeway lot ... they pay extra attention to detail and are very, very nice - and, good!
Laura F. replied:
Golden Nail got my business when there was a long wait at Blue Ocean. They were wonderful! Blue Ocean is good, but most often very busy. My pedi is still going with great detail of flowers and rhinestones on big toes.

I really like Golden Nail Spa in the strip mall near Whitfields in the Safeway Parking Lot - great attention to detail ... they have paraffin wax, as well ... lovely people!:)
Anne S. replied:
Golden nails in the Hansey Plaza, strip mall by Safeway. I've always gone to two other places in Monroe, but my daughter took me to golden nails for my last pedi/mani treat. They were clean, very customer oriented, and their prices were very reasonable.
Ara L. replied:
Lake Tye or Rebecca's and I have tried them all!

Is there a nail salon in Monroe that does shellac and is open on Sundays??
Carlene F. replied:
Couture Nails behind Fred Meyer.
Traci E. replied:
I just think the quality of Couture Nails has gone way down consistently in the last 15 years and they seem to have their favorite clients. Kinda snooty. I also went to Blue Ocean since they opened. They treat clients as a cattle call. Shove them in, shove then out with zero quality. I had 5 ingrown toenails that they missed and I can't feel due to a head on accident I was in on HWY 2. So I am now going to Lake Tye nails and they are very detailed oriented and take there time to get it right. Also with cheaper prices. That was all Margarita Rios. I'm not trash talking. I'm talking from experience.
Traci E. replied:
I was just answering the question with the reason why I chose Lake Tye Nails.
