I never said a word to you, Javier, except to say Purasol has more experience with wonderful people and neurotics like Jennifer Long too!
Alejandro S. replied:
Jennifer Long, we are improving constantly, that kind of situation has not happened again and I hope it never will, this was as I said a matter of luck and circumstance with yes mistakes in our part wich we have analized and have come up with ways of preventing but apart from it all I'm sure we are the leading company in solar energy in Costa Rica. I can't help feeling bad for what happened with you but that is the past now and we do care that our customers have a great experience with us before and after the job has been done.

Alejandro Echeverria Soto why would I quiet down? Only time I heard that was in the USMC... you are funny... Great Purasol installs as you say 50% of all installations which means someone else is doing the rest...of course that is accurate... You are funny to tell me to quiet down....obviously by your own admission you are only 50% of the market...someone else beats your price 50%.... helloooo...I would never say Jennifer Long was a bad Customer, you just made her point and to the T....... just from that arrogant stance I wouldn't buy lemonade from you! Im glad everybody read it... badmouthing your customers on the web...just as about as DUMB as you can get
Javier R. replied:

I can tell you first hand that Purasol and Pierre are not a good company. Engineer he may be, but his company is horrible. They are not sufficient nor does Pierre know how to run a business. Want to know what happened to us? First off; my husband is an astrophysicist so he certainly knows about engineering. Secondly, we are from California so we know about solar panels and how they are installed, how they work etc. So, we thought we would try out Purasol to at first install a solar hot water heater for us. They urged us to send money right away!......Or we would not get a water heater right away as the next batch shipment of water heaters were due to arrive at any moment...We were told they would be in the next week. Well a month later AND NO NOTICE from the company WE had to call THEM, email them over and over and over and over again. Typical of tico companies by the way....Pierre might be from France but he runs his company like the know nothing arrogant tico's do... in most companies...even the ones who "study" in the states..... are insufficient, arrogant and really don't know half of what the customers they provide service to that might happen to know about the subject matter; I could give several examples of that..... So, finally we get to talk to Pierre because all the others are trying to either A. hide their mistakes from us due to their inefficiency or B. or trying to skirt their way around a real answer as to what was truthfully happening. Anyway, we are on to Pierre, he says so sorry for the inconvenience... I'll send out two guys with your water heater tomorrow and they will be there at 9AM or so. Talk about a motley crew...Pierre sends two jokers who know nothing about installing the water heater, one was an electrician and the other was a whatever...... They had NO TOOLS to install the water heater....CAN you believe that??? We had to lend them some of ours. Then they went out to buy other tools in the area...(a ferrateria).....They had NO IDEA of what they were doing when they tried to mount the water heater....We have a beautiful farm with a lovely pool and two cabins for family and friends to visit. Those two losers saw our cabins and promptly told us they would not finish the work that day and needed a place to sleep and that they were hungry and needed to eat....Well, what the eff? They arrived 3 hours LATE and of course the rain was coming in...I have NEVER in my life ever, ever, EVER experienced something so stupid as this..and these two guys were arrogant on top of that. They would not listen to my husband about mounting the tank correctly etc. the way they were installing it was utterly ridiculous.....So we told them to leave. To get off the roof and leave and take everything with them. Before they left, I had them come over to another solar hot water system we have on our main house roof. The heater is a MUCH better heater and the housing for it (the support to mount it) is ten times thicker and a better material. They were SILENT and the arrogance went from a level 10 to a minus zero. What could they say? I could go on, but later we hear from Pierre on the phone and the two guys were still hanging around. We told Pierre we were done they needed to go and we wanted our money back. So what happened? They gave us back everything but 10% they wanted to hold. Fvck that! We had to go through a big rigamarole to get ALL of our money back. The worst thing is they lost $10K of our business because we were testing them out to see if they could swing the water heater, we were going to order a hell of a lot of panels from them and a big system to boot and when they FAILED at a simple solar water heater install with their lack of knowledge, arrogant attitudes, poor business ethics and so-forth, they lost our business. A NIGHTMARISH company indeed. Don't use them. They don't know what the eff they are doing!!! Moreover, any company you work with, you should get a written guarantee from them that they will be able to attain the permits needed to install the solar panels from ICE. It's NOT any easy set up and not all companies are successful at attaining the permissions from ICE right away to have things move right along.... you could be delayed and if the company is not competent, they may not be capable of attaining the permits right away...Shop around but DON'T use Purasol....good gawd what a joke.

Christiane S. Harrison..I said 5 years right and no it has not changed..just more people producing...Naw and Jennifer Long shouldn't have to go home because someone did crappy work.... She shared my humble opinion as Mechanical Engineer from UCONN..not an Astrophysicst... and being involved here for 7 years...I know Ticos love to say "Give me 50% upfront money"... that is the Tico standard. When I sell you my products, I use my money to purchase them and THEN you pay me!
