Try Josh Taylor, Canine Education514 777 7894. I am taking puppy classes with him and he is so warm, caring, even counselled me when I was sooo overwhelmed etc..I definitely recommend him.
Stephanie S. replied:
Being a certified dog trainer myself, I can also advise that dogs often need to be snapped out of a certain train of thought or behaviour during the training process. Trainers have different methods of interrupting them. Some use a leash and collar, some a loud noise of some kind, clapping their hands, shaking a can of pennies, vocalizing a sound or word, etc. Many different techniques are proven effective at guiding a dog's train of thought or behaviour. As long as no harm is being done to the dog physically, emotionally or any other way. That's what's the most important!! I know many people extremely happy with the exceptional service Graham Smith from Barkbuster has given them in helping them train their dog. He is very accomodating and helpful. Great at answering all your questions and explaining things. And NO he does not throw things at dogs! like some people were wondering.:)

Check out YouTube. Here is one example. Most the barking and growling you hear is NOT coming from the dogs but fro the owners. They also spout a lot of dominance and submission garbage which has been scientifically disproven. As I said above, do your research, visit training schools to see their methods. Any decent facility will be happy to have you sit in on a class to observe. http://youtu.be/zI5SOz-vTZ8
